Maya Grill

How good is the MAYA GRILL? Do they have good deserts?

We really liked Maya Grill. I remember having a crab chalupa and the fried plantains which were very good then I think dh had a steak and I had the lamb. It was all exceptional. And I think we had dessert, I am pretty sure I had flan. I just remember the whole evening being very relaxed, with good food, quiet atmosphere and great service. I would go there again. I think the full service at the moderates are the best kept secrets for Disney Dining. They don't have the wow factor of the deluxe restaurants but I have enjoyed them (Shutters and Maya Grill, haven't tried Boatrights yet). And you can generally get in a lot easier.

I don't remember what I ate at the Maya grill, but I remember the dessert and I would love to eat there again just for the dessert. It was fried cheesecake in some sort of sauce. I took a bite and literally said out loud oh my God. It was that good. The food was good too...I probably ate salmon since thats my fave. I think df got the fish tacos because I remember being grossed out by it, but he said they were awsome. Hope this helps.

We happened upon Maya Grill by chance last year. We were staying at CSR and had ADR's for Olivias. We were too tired and lazy to go to Olivias so we went up to Maya Grill and they fit us in. Our meal was one of the best we have ever had on Disney property. I got the steak/ribs/fish combo and the steak is the best-even better than Le Cellier. The fish was incredible and I am not a big fish eater. The ribs were scrumptious. BTW, I took most home and ate for breakfast the next day.
I dont remember dessert but I think I had the cheesecake thingy.

We are going again this year.
