Maya Grill or Kona Cafe (Dinner)?

I've been enjoying the this or that posts and now have my own choice to make between these two. We're staying at both the resorts during our vacation but only have one night (Sunday CSR or Wed Poly) to have dinner there, the other night CRT Dinner is planned and will work for either night. Which would you pick?

We very much enjoyed the Maya Grill, but the Kona Cafe is much better, in our opinion. We love the atmosphere at the Polynesian as well, and always take a chance to walk down to the beach after dinner.

I have never eaten at Maya Grill. I suppose I figure I can get good mexican food elsewhere for less.
Kona is more unique.

Never tried Kona before, but we just had Maya Grill and it was fantastic. It wasn't really Mexican food either. DH and DBIL had the Chef's special which was BBQ ribs, chicken and fried shrimp. I had filet mignon and the catch of the day. Delicious. I think I would describe the food as more of Southwestern grilled food. DBIL said it's the best meal he's had...EVER. I would say it's definitely one of the best meals I've had at Disney. But I still have quite a list of restaurants to try yet!

DS13 & I are planning dinner at Kona on our arrival night. Going to Poly from WL, watching the torching lighting ceremony, having dinner and hopefully a swim in the volcano pool (DVC). Maybe stay for Wishes from the beach.

We have eaten both places on several occasions and we greatly prefer the Kona Cafe. Our first time at the Kona Cafe we thought it was a casual type place which it was but the food was far superior to what we expected. It was by far one of the best meals we have eaten at WDW.
