Hi Everyone,

We are hoping to come to DLP in May next year!

It will be my Neice's first visit she will be 19 months old (we are trying to get her a fan as early as possible). Just wondering what everyone thinks of this time of year, ie.. weather, crowds. We are trying to avoid school Holidays so thinking mid may might be quiter but should be warm.

What do you all reckon?

Thanks for the input!
A very excited Auntie

I would check on any France public or school holidays at that time, if there are none it should be a good time to go weather and crowd wise, probably slightly warmer than it is here in the UK.

If you want to avoid the school holidays in the UK and France next year, the best time is after 4th May (there are school holidays in France up til then) and before 17th May (Ascension Day, major public holiday in France and one of DLPs busiest park days of the year).

Avoid the weekends of the 1st of May so the 29th of April - 1st of May included and the next one 5th of May - 8th of May included as the 1st and the 8th are public holidays and everyone who can will take the 2 Mondays off and the lucky ones will take the 4 days inbetween as well to use up their work holidays before the end of the month :goodvibes

so the 7th and 8th of may (Mon and Tues) should be avoided?? thems our dates

Traditionally any bank holiday that falls on a Thursday or a Tuesday gives a lot of people a 4 day week end.

In May as you have to use up all your work leave before the end of the month so those who can do

We love May for bank holidays ;)

You are an Uber planner :wizard: I'm sure you will be fine if that's your chosen weekend and it's better to be fore warned and prepared :goodvibes

You know Im kinda doing most of the planning for wedding/honeymoon and Id looked at the school holidays link to see if it would be a good time to visit and everything!! and then arranged our honeymoon around these days and positioned it so that we'd be in DLP on quiet days.. Im disheartened now :sad1:

Non ! don't be

What's busy to some isn't busy to others and more import it's your honeymoon so it's going to be perfect whatever happens :wizard:

You will have a great time together all wrapped up in a Disney glow and you've got the EMH and Salon Mickey, as I think you are a shareholder, so more time to do things and then relax

Thanks Carrie!
DP isnt much of a thrill seeker so this trip will be more wandering around looking at things and doing some soft rides and more shows. Cafe Mickey sounds like a good escape from the crowds alright! We (friend and I) did Early March this year and late May last year which were mental and still got loads done so Im hoping we'll soldier thru and still get to do lots.

We're planning to visit next year from Sunday 20th to Wednesday 23rd May. Do you think it will be busier then because of the holiday on the 17th?

The Sunday will be busy but that's normal - the weekends always are - and it's back to work on Monday morning so the other 3 days will be fine :)

The next weekend after that will be busy busy again as it's another 3 day one with Pentecostal on the 26/27th of May but you've picked the right week :thumbsup2

Thanks Carrie Cat. I was kind of expecting the Sunday to be busy so will probably use that day to see some shows. If the other days are relatively quiet I'll be happy!
