May 7: $0 not leaving the house!

Ok, I ate out on Sunday, so I think I may have blown my budget a little. I'll just take it out of the next 3-days.

I was at the mall today and I can never resist some Starbucks. I also picked up a little snack for my mum and I. Hoping to keep this month nice and low because my NYC trip is going to be SPEND-A-LOT. I'm resisting the urge to buy anything I can get in New York right now.

Yesterday was almost a $0 day but I had to try Second Cup's new Icespresso. My dbf compared it to drinking hard liquor, it got better with every sip.

Hi all - Mind if I join in?

I have my budget 98% locked down tight and can't really lower it much more, but the one area that still trips me up is junk food/fast food. I figure I spend between 10 and 30 dollars each week between the mini-market here at work, running out for something at lunch or picking up fast food for dinner because I'm too lazy to cook. And that's not only bad for my wallet, it's also really bad for my waistline :rolleyes1

So I'm going to track only my food impulse purchases here (those outside of my normal bi-weekly grocery store runs). I'm going for as many $0 days I can get. I'll start posting tonight, once I finish battling the vending machine demons for the day!

In prep....

Spendy weekend around here. Saturday I worked and ate both lunch and dinner out. Yesterday we went out for dinner for mother's day. Today is a $0 since I have no plans on going anywhere.

I have been spending way too much lately. I need to reign it in. It hasjust been so long since I had my own money coming in that it feels nice.

I've been Spendy McSpender for the last few days. Haven't even kept track of it! Let's see how I did...

Finally saw The Avengers this weekend! I only bought drinks at the theatre, but I'm going to count that as Entertainment. We saw it in IMAX 3D. It was definitely worth the extra moolah.

5/14/12 - $2.50 :( I stopped at Target on the way home from work and SOMEHOW a bag of potato chips ended up in my cart. Had them with a burger for dinner - at least I made that and didn't get it at McDs. On the bright side, I can take some of the chips for lunch the next day or two to round out my exciting meal of a PB&J sandwich! Hopefully that will keep me away from the vending machines.

Yesterday I spent the day out with a friend. It felt so nice to just relax with her and do a little shopping. I set a budget for myself and stayed way under that amount. I also picked up some items at the grocery to fill in this week's meal plans.

Today I picked up an extra shift at work. So I spent nothing as I was exhausted when I got home. But it means a little bit bigger paycheck so all is good. Plus I also really like my job and the people I work with. It is a small group and everyone has been so helpful to me.
