Hi all,

This is my first time posting on any kind of forum so I hope it works! Myself and fiance are getting married next May 4th at Seabreeze Point and then hoping to hire one of the private rooms at the California Grill for drinks, dinner, Wishes and dessert. Has anyone done this at the CF? If you have any pics that would be great!

Also any additional tips would be appreciated- we get out planner in afew days now!

Steph :woohoo:

Hi and welcome!

My biggest tip is to get the Passporters Disney Weddings and Honeymoon's e-book if you don't already have it. It is written by LurkyLoo here on the boards who is a wealth of knowledge on all things Disney weddings. It's a small investment for help it will give you. Have fun with your planning :)

ohhh mama - you need to have strom troopers and get married at DHS!!!!

ahhhhh sigh! can't wait to hear more!

Hi
Can't help with your questions but wanted to say that my VR is also on May 4th!! Not being a particular 'Star Wars' fan, I had not realised the 'May the fourth be with you' thing until you mentioned it!!
What time is your wedding? My VR is at the Swan at 3.00pm but we are planning to do photos at the Boardwalk with Randy beforehand so maybe we'll catch a glimpse of one another. My reception is at Citricos and we are planning on going down to the Marina after dinner for fireworks!!
What do you have planned so far? Are you Wishes or Escape? Anything booked so far? Would love to hear more of your plans!!
Happy planning

My other suggestions are to look through other Dis-brides planning journals and trip reports. The links are near the top of the screen - you could start with a search for California Grill for inspiration on what others did for their receptions. I am sure a search for Sea Breeze Point will bring you up lots of overwhelming (in a good way) information.

Ask lots of questions on here - it is soooo helpful :thumbsup2

oh my goodness guys!! Thanks for all the messages! Yes i had looked at getting the passporters book but will def get one now. We are coming over from Northern Ireland so its maybe a little more difficult to plan things from another continent! As we are coming from so far away im organising pretty much a 3 day wedding event (im an events organiser so its not a big deal) as there will be people from the UK coming and some family from Canada will make their way down. Its an Escape wedding so im organising the reception myself. Was thinking wedding at 2.30, pics about the place then head to CG to drinks before meal, Wishes, dessert, drinks.....

The dress has been bought but having trouble on what DH (to be) will be wearing and have not even started to think about floral, details... etc!!!!

We are not particular star wars fans either but there is a very funny series here called Outnumbered and if you search the Mouse Murderer episode you will see why and its so funny!

As you can see, I am from the UK and now that you mention it, I remember the 'Outnumbered' episode you mentioned!!
Are you all booked at SBP for 2.30pm? The reason I ask, is that we intend to have photos done with Randy before our 3.00pm ceremony at the Swan and we will have to be careful to avoid each other as DFTW do not like brides to see each other :confused3 and you will obviously get 'right of way' as you are the SBP bride!!! I will make sure we do not get in your way!! If you are all definate about your time, I will inform Randy. Thanks.

Funny - I was born in Portadown! But raised in London. I have lived and worked in the US for 8 years now. There have been quite a few brides from the UK area who I am sure will give you tips and you can check out their planning journals to pick up on how they worked with Disney from overseas.

Really?!!! that sounds horrible that i get right of way!!!!! Im sorry about that and I would think it would be fun to see other brides on that day!!! Yup we are pretty much confirmed at 2.30 at SBP, the contract should be through by next week!

And the whole saying that Karen says at the mouse funeral is 'may the force be with you - coz you're worth it...' I love it!!!!!

I think it's something to do with Disney wanting each bride to think she is unique on her day!!!
Don't worry about it!! Randy is a very experienced Disney photographer and I am sure he will have ways of sneeking us around you to get the shots we want.
Do you have a photographer booked or are you using DPS?
Do you have a PJ, I would love to hear all your plans!!
