May space shuttle launch tickets on sale

Just got an email to say that tickets for the forthcoming space shuttle launch (15th May - 3rd June) go on sale Monday 4th April at 9am EST.

They are available at KSC or by calling 321-449-444

We disembark from the Disney Wonder on the 15th May, how cool would it be if it went up that morning while we are in Port Canaveral. We saw a Shuttle launch back in December 2001 from Cocoa Beach and it was an amazing sight.

I saw a launch from the magic kingdom in November 2000 and it was pretty cool even from a distance!!!

we arrive on the 19th and my DH is hoping the shuttle take off will be delayed as the window for take off goes until june and we leave on the 2nd, it would be a highlight of the holiday for him (can't say it has the same effect on me, think its a boy thing! )

We saw a night launch a few years ago and it was amazing - something I'll rember for the rest of my life. Even though we were about 3 miles away we had a clear view and on ignition the light generated by the engines was brighter than daylight. We've got a few photos and a video, although the shuttle soon becomes a white blob after it takes off. If you get the chance to see a launch I would recommend it to anyone.
