May sound crazy, but...

We've done this a few trips when we've not had the money to buy tickets. There's lots to do at the world without going into the parks or going broke. Our kids are just happy to be on vacation and we always have fun. Check out www.allearsnet.com for lots of info.

Leaving WDW is no real bargain. you will still have to buy tickets and incurr transportation costs, etc.

Doesn't sound crazy at all!! We are doing this in three weeks for 5 days. (But we do have an old park hopper left for one day and may go in Epcot!)

Anyone know where I can find info on the Adult annual pass for water parks?

I am enjoying this thread. popcorn:: I agree that park tickets are so expensive and we too enjoy NON park days. Not sure if we could do a complete NON park trip. However this thread has got me thinking. :)

I would pool hop to the Poly one late afternoon - have dinner at Captain Cooks and just play in the pool until time for the Electrical Water Parade and Wishes.

I don't think I would get the water park passes since you have so many pools you can hop to and use free - and then enjoy the nearby activities.

Doing some of the other things (or even a few) will add up pretty quickly.

I would do a transportation day too - one where you try and ride all the different types of transportation doing things along the way. The kids I travel with LOVE to do that for some unknown reason.

My Wife and I have always wanted to try that. We love the parks, but really love the whole resort environment. Off the top of my head, here are some things we'd do if we wanted a non-park Disney Vacation (and had an unlimited budget:banana:)

1. EAT EAT EAT - a different table service resteraunt every night
2. Mini Golf
3. Downtown Disney - Circue de Sole, shopping and more dining
4. Horseback Riding at Wilderness Campgrounds
5. Luau at Polynesian
6. Hoop de Doo Revue at Wilderness Lodge
7. Yee-Ha Bob - at Port Orleans
8. Illuminations Cruise
9. Speed Boat rides
10. Grand Floridian Orchestra in the lobby and order tea
11. Character meals in several resorts
12. Camp fire Sing Alongs
13. Movie night under the stars in many different resorts
14. Bike riding/Surrey bike riding
15. Catch the latest Disney flick at AMC
16. Jelly Rolls
17. Adventurer's Club (Oops - forgot:confused3)
18.Hang at the Boardwalk during the evenings
19. Go for early morning walks around the different resorts

That's just off the top of my head, and I didn't even mention the obvious "hang at the pool", nor have I even left the grounds yet.

I wish you luck on your non-park Disney trip

What a great list. Thanks for ideas too!!!:thumbsup2

You are a stronger person than I!!! I can't be anywhere in Florida and NOT visit the parks!:lmao:
