Just wondering what the home of the Mouse is like in May? We have never been that early but are considering going in May next year as opposed to our usual Sept/Oct
Thanks SD :moped:

We love May. We go every year and are going again this year. 2003 was quite hot 90+ every day. that was for the 1st week. 2004 it was perfect 80's only one day of rain but it was all day. We got quite wet but as luck would have it, it was one of our most memorable. No need for long sleeves unless the air conditioning was too much. Swimming everyday even the rainy one as long as no lightening. The crowds in the parks were quite nice. No long waits. fast pass was being used but not overwhelming. We will be their again this May will be sure to report back to everyone on how much fun we had once again. Don't worry you will become a May fan as we did. t

I think it depends upon what week you're planning. I've been to WDW at the end of May when the heat index in the parks was over 100! We're trying the first week of May this time!

We went in 98 May 7-12 and we were miserable. We lived in CA at the time and just could not handle the humidity in May. We live in AZ now and really would be miserable if we tried it in the humid months. I guess it depends on what kind of summers you are used to. The year we went it was El nino year and it was 85-90 with lots of humidity. We sweated our way around the parks and were miserable staying at the Poly which I swear makes it feel even more humid and tropical. We went the year after in early April and it was much nicer and have gone every year since in Dec or most recently January. All of the latter had lighter crowds than when we went in May. The lines were longer than in the offseason though I imagine nothing like it is during summer vacation or X-mas. If you can handle the heat and humidity and plan to do relaxing or water parks in the afternoon you will be fine but if you like to comando tour and go from early morning to evening with no breaks it could be rough!

May usually isn't as humid as the summer months. When it's humid in the summer, there are thunderstorms every afternoon when the humidity builds up. That doesn't happen in May because it isn't as humid. It's still hot, but not sticky hot.

I am sure it isn't as humid, and maybe it was because it was El nino that year (I heard it was this year too-every 7 years or something) but it was VERY sticky humid and it did rain in some of the afternoons.
