Next year we will be taking our grandson. He will be 3 years old. I am concerned about the crowds and the weather not his age. Which month is better for a toddler? We will be staying at BCV.

Crowds will be lighter in October. Weather probably better in October too, it will definitely be cooler! Although you might stand a chance of a hurricane but I wouldn't let that stop me (and haven't. Rode out one hurricane at Disney and have no qualms about doing it again).

October is the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. Lots of treats to try even if you don't try the wine or beer. We have been both months and prefer October mostly for the weather, and the F&W is a bonus (not much of a bonus for a 15 month old, but you're going too!)

I agree, we went last year in October and had a blast. The food and wine festival has tons of good treats to taste and everyone can have. Also, if you can I'd try for mickey's not so scary halloween party, which we went to and that is alot of fun and the fireworks are great. Even better is that your staying at BCV which is near Epcot and you can just go over for a short while to try some treats.

Thanks . . . I was hoping that October would be better. It is much cheaper to fly then.

I woud say October as well with the F&W festival and MNSSHP.

Although, when we have gone in May - we have had great weather and the crowds weren't bad.

Having been both times, I would go with early May.

Though slow periods at Disney are becoming a thing of the past, early May seems to have lighter crowds than October.
Also, October is in hurricane season (though there is always rain in Florida), but I find the temperature in May and October to be pretty similar.

Another vote for October. I went in Oct '06 and May '07 and I would definitely say that it was cooler and slightly less crowded in October. Plus you can take your grandson to MSSHP!

Our 2 favorite times to visit. We have switched fom May to Oct. because well we're food junkies and LOVE the F&W F. Not to emtnion MNSSHP and Oct 4th is our DD B-day. Weather and crowds are always gret for us. But heck we'd enjoy being in WDW even if it was -30 and snowing.

Grownups only in October (F&W) and littles in May (grandkids now 3 and 1). Sometimes both, though. Any time we can, though, really. Any time.

I would say May since its less crowded, but in October I think your able to do more since its close to Halloween.

Either way good luck on planning your trip to the Happiest place on earth!
