planning my first trip to disneyworld which is best time to go may or october....which is more busy?

Hiiiiii there! :wave2:

May & October are both fantastic times to visit WDW! Crowds should be low-ish in both months, but over the years October has got busier probably due to DVC & Food & Wine's popularity. But the last week in May will be VERY busy due to Memorial Day weekend.

Weather-wise, you would normally get more rain in May but i think it's just an afternoon shower. Also the temp will go up throughout May, aswell as the humidity. October weather is mainly sunny & gets the occasional bit of rain.

Also in October you'll have 'Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party' every other night in the Magic Kingdom which is a ticket only event, so that means you'll only have a few nights a week where you'll have the evening parade & Wishes fireworks on.

So overall, it's up to you!

:tink:

As above not a great deal between them, personally I prefer Oct for Halloween themeing.

thanks for the replys i think ill choose may as its abit cheaper...tho october is my birthday! lol

I have been to both and would chose October.
The Halloween theming is pretty impressive - not just in Disney though. Universals Halloween Horror Night is, without question, one of the best events I have ever been to in my life. What I wouldn't give to be there right now.

For next year I would go with may, the parks are due be incredibly busy with the opening of the new fantasyland.

We've been twice in May and both times the weather has been fantastic, just one burst of rain on each of our trips. Epcot also has the Flower and Garden festival running until 20th May :)

Haven't been in October (yet!) but we are looking forward to seeing all the Halloween theming next year :goodvibes

Totally agree. We've been in May and the weather was great, only had one rain shower the whole 2 weeks! Crowds were low also.

Going in Sept/Oct next year and can't wait :goodvibes
