Hi everyone,
I'm new over here on this board, but we are planning a break to DLP this year and wanted some advice. We normally go to DLP at Christmas time so don't know much about the rest of the year. We are looking to go 1st week in May or 1st week in August. Either one will be during the week. Which would be best? I am guessing May would be better, however, I am hoping to be pregnant by then, so therefore in May I am likely to be feeling very ill (1st Trimester), whereas in August I will be in the 2nd trimester and feeling fine (assuming it will be like my 1st pregnancy!).

What is August like? Are the crowds anything like Christmas/New year crowds? (both manegable in my experience) or are they more busier and more like WDW busy crowds?

Any advice will be gratefully recieved.

Hi katytrott and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

As you predict May will most likely be quieter but August may be better for you :)
While the park is busier in the summer you'll have the advantage of longer park hours and with fireworks/fantallusion parade to look forward too :goodvibes

Hi katytrott and welcome! :welcome:

I've been twice in August and once for Christmas. We noticed the crowds far less in August what with the main park being open later plus with the warmer weather there isn't the need to huddle in shops/indoor rides.

I agree with Reid ~ go in August when you should be feeling positively blooming plus you'll have the advantage of seeing Wishes and Fantillusion plus the new rides in the Studios will be open. :)

Thankyou, August certainly looks the best time to go. I know August in WDW it is best to avoid like the plague, but I didn't know if it was the same in DLP. I am getting the picture that although DLP in August is busier then say Jan or Sept, it is still manageable.

we've found DLP in August manageable, make sure you use fast pass. And of course opening hours are much longer in August.

Just remember it can either be really hot or cool & raining. Have experienced both types of weather in Paris in August!
