The Magic is on her way to Europe. Not too much longer for us!

Doing the Cruise Doc Dance! Mine arrived today. I must say, I really like the new format better than the old cruise docs. They say 6152 so maybe the upgrade really is true!

I usually travel with my car seats but wasn't sure what to do on this cruise. What do you pros with kids do? My 2 year old will definately need one and I'm not sure how easy they are to come by on the tours.

Helen :goodvibes

I would take your own. I wouldn't count on the availability of car seats for taxis or tours. Luckily ds4 can now use a booster and not a larger car seat.

Hey, Jeff! I met your 3rd child today! ;-) You know, the adopted one!

She's pretty sweet. I had a lovely time!

:cheer2::cheer2: Yeah! Cruise Docs arrived today.:cheer2::cheer2:
(unfortunately our names were not spelled correctly.)

We did some research on euros and found out that Citizens Bank was the best place to get them here in Delaware. They charge a flat $6 fee and go by the daily exchange rate. The other banks had a fee plus a surcharge.:scared1:
We called DCL and they said there was no surcharge for exchanging money but she didn't sound very confident. :confused3 Hopefully one of the Med cruises before us will be able to confirm this.
As far as credit cards go we will be using our Capital One MC. pirate:
We ordered them when we went to Prague and Budapest a couple of years ago since they don't have a service charge for overseas transactions.:yay:
(We can also use it at the ATM w/out a cash advance fee.)
Our Disney Visa charges 1% :sad2:

You are too sweet! Can't wait to hang out with you some more in Europe. Just 5 more weeks to go. Cant wait.

It's my understanding that on various places aboard the ship and on the excursions that Disney has photographers to take your pictures. I have also heard that you can purchase a picture package for a flat rate:cool1::banana::banana::banana:. Is that true?

Connie - Colin is still small and needs the full car seat. I'll just bring a booster for Aiden.

We also got our travel docs today. Aiden's name was mispelled but we are indeed in cat 6.

Helen :cool1:

Anyone have any suggestions on private tours on our stop at Villefranche? We would like to see Monte Carlo, Monaco, and Eze. We have a DCL trip booked but not sure if we are going to keep it. Any ideas would be appreciated.:confused3

Hello All!!!! We just got back from our France wine trip (St. Emilion, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Chardonay, Chateaunuf de Pape) and I am trying to catch up (and dry out LOL!). WOW! You all have been busy. :lmao:

Hope everyone had a great Easter and welcome to all the new cruisers!:cheer2:

Cindy, there is a thread all about FE gift ideas. I spent a whole day going through it and trying to get ideas! Some of those people are really gifted, me not so much! But I really wish I was. I am trying to think of local things that I can use. Perhaps something Belgium?

So now to unpack, laundry, and start packing...:cool1: 34 days to go!!!

I'm sure this had been discussed, but has there been any consensus on the best way to covert dollars to Euros? Can I convert $2000-3000 in US dollars to Euros at a bank in Barcelona? Do they charge a conversion fee? I assume the rates at banks are the best. Are the airport currency conversions a rip-off rate wise? Can you convert that amount on the ship, and has anyone found out what Disney's rate is compared to a bank and any conversion fees tehy charge? Lastly, do US banks typically offer Euros here in the states? I've never checked. Thanks to all in advance to can offer some guidance.

I've been to the thread, but its confusing. I've ordered some craft items and stuff from the internet and hopefully they will get her on time. I also thought about some Belgian chocolate.

Hope you enjoyed your trip, we just got back today from our Spring Break trip to Lloret de Mar, Spain. It was a good trip, hope yours was also.

Cindy, don't you love living in Europe! I will miss it so much when we move back stateside this summer.

Are you in SHAPE? So, if you are going to bring Belgium chocolate, can you swing by Mary's and bring me some champagne truffles?:rotfl:

:tink:

I don't know. I'm thinking if you're bringing Belgian chocolate, you'll need to bring enough for *everybody*! ;)
