rashdecision - thanks for arranging this. I'll pm you our ressie #. Do you know if we'll have the scheduled day before we board. I don't want to sign up for two wine tastings in one day...or do I?

what our conceirge emailed me was that we would be on one of the at sea days and that she would send me times and date when we could get her our numbers. I suspect they need a rough idea of how many before they commit to a size room. I should know more in the next week. We should definately have enough people. Ill keep people up to date as they email me.

Connie, are you (or anyone else on the boards) staying at Hotel Avenida Palace? We finally booked this today. The Travelzoo promotion was only available for 5/13, so we took it hoping they would have more availability later for 5/14. Well today I saw two rooms at 1800 hotels for the date of 5/14 and grabbed them, so I have different booking companies but at least in the same hotel. I hope they let us stay in our rooms and not move.:wizard: Anne

Hi Anne,

We are actually staying at the Novotel Barcelona City instead of Hotel Avenida Palace. We looked into switching but our friends have a family of 4 and the rooms at Hotel Avenida Palace sleeps 3 max, so it didn't work for us. I hope it all works out for you!

Another option for those taking their laptops/notebooks/etc is Skype. You can call a landline from your computer for about 5 cents a minute.

Here's a link...

It's the only reason I'm considering lugging our 17" laptop with us. I really want one of those little notebooks!

Or Magic Jack. You buy it for $39/$49 and then $29 per year for all your phone calls to the states. Don't know how much the internet costs on the boat though. And you can't use it when you get separated on land LOL

OOPs didn't see the post directly under yours, guess we won't be able to use the Magic Jack.

Okay, I went to the port in Barcelona yesterday and it was dead!!! No one I talked to knew which "dock" Disney ports at.

The aquarium is only .5 Kilometers from the Main port area we went to. We went to the part of the por that has the World Trade Center in it. Sorry I didn't get more information about the area. The zoo is about 1/2 mile down the road.

Hi Cindy,

Hope you're having great trip. :)

The port info is on the web site at the top of the "Cruise Info" tab. The Magic is docking at Terminal C. If you're taking a taxi to the port, they'll drop you off right in front of the terminal. If you're staying close to the port, you may elect to walk to the Columbus Monument and catch the Blue Bus there to the Terminal.

That's great info, I didn't have the information when I went. We won't be there until the 15th of May. I'm in the military and stationed here in Europe and just down in Spain for the week, then it's back to work until the cruise. So it isn't very feasible to try and walk to the the aquarium or the zoo from the port, but we could at least take the bus. I wish I could've got mor information for others while I was there.

Cindy

HOLY COW!!! They are selling cat 12 staterooms again for our cruise!

Ah, see? I didn't *think* our cruise was all sold out or anything. They just wanted to distribute out all the existing Cat 12 GTY's so that they could sell more. Not that I'm complaining or anything, mind you!

Hey, thanks for checking things out, Cindy. I had a sneaking suspicion it was too far to walk, but it couldn't be *that* bad of a cab ride... At least it's feasible. Who knows? I may get on the ship and not *want* to leave. :lovestruc

To all FE participants - please check your PM's. I have sent everyone doing the FE a message asking for any final info that is missing. I apologise for the formulaic mail but its way simpler to do it that way with around 30 messages to send out (and it still took me an hour to do them).

Please let me have the final info asap - Thanks

edit - I'll collate the additional info offline and update the list in post #3 after afew days, so don't fret if it looks like i've not updated it immediately (i'm expecting a lot of PM's and info) :)

nanaguide - your PM box is full - please clear some space so i can send you your message. Ta!

FE sign up deadline is 15 April - only 1 week to go.

For those who booked this cruise prior to a certain date (sometime in November) Disney gave each person in the cabin a $100 OBC. I am assuming that is what it is from.

Do you have to be booked via DCL to see any onboard credit? I ask because I booked with Dreams Unlimited and I can't see anywhere on the DCL site where I can see if there is any balance in my shipboard account. :confused3

First cruise with DCL and no upgrade.

Booked Cat 12 and got cat 12.

Never mind - glad to be on the ship :-)

Wavyd, are you sure you got a cat 12? I ask because when you check, your reservation will still state "Standard Inside Stateroom Category 12" but will list a room number that may or may not be a Cat 12. The only way to know is look up the room number. Was just curious given DCL has started selling the Cat 12 rooms again for the cruise. It just seems odd to me that they would do so having assigned some/all of them to cruisers already booked.

If you book via a TA, you won't see any of the "financial" part. I can see the OBC that Disney gave me on the confirmation email that my TA forwarded to me (but originally went to her.)

I have 2 OBC's, one for booking Online through the DCL site, and one for paying with my Disney Visa. The booking Online OBC I can see on my reservation, but the Disney Visa one I cannot. I was told that was normal. But if you call DCL, they can see all your OBC's and verify for you what all you have on your reservation as far as OBC's are concerned. I would imagine DU could call DCL and verify the same thing for you.

First of all, for those new to the thread (and my wife, who reads this) "Jeff and the single ladies" is actually Jeff, HIS FAMILY, and the single ladies.

As Steven Tyler (lead singer of Aerosmith) says during the intro for Rock'n Roller Coaster - "I like that idea!"

I think it would be really cool to have the DISers in early and late seating (who want to of course) be in the same dining rotation and seated in the same area. Anyone who would like to do this, send me a PM or email as it's too hard to keep up with in the thread. And we still have 1 spot at our table if there are any singles left like would like to join my family, jedijill, sarahgirl and sayhello.

I say one spot, assuming that 8 is the max at a table. Anyone know if that's the max or are there bigger tables?

"I like that idea" too of getting our rotations similiar if we're not all going to fit at one table. I've been on two DCL cruises with tables for 10 and 14. I always travel with a "big" group! They never guaranteed we would be together but you know with Disney you have a good shot of this happening. I remember another large group also being in the same rotation with us so I know they at least can arrange two tables.

I've got 10 requesting the late seating with me. Let me know how you want to proceed and I can call DCL and get the details and how they can help with our request.

JEFF - do you want to start addding names on your web page so everyone can make sure their not missed in the final head count? Maybe one list for early and one for late?
