When do you guys think we are going to start getting our room assignments? Im hoping this week or next.

We watched "A Room with a View"(Florence) & "Three Coins in a Fountain"(Rome) last night. Next up the Star Wars movies for Tunisia.
I finished my "cruise clothes" shopping today also. For my DH I purchase new and rotate in his last sailing into everyday clothing. Being a prof dress up day is everyday. For me cruising is just an exuse to buy new!

The official corsica tourism website is here.

http://www.visit-corsica.com/en/infotour/actequiploisirs/id/124/indice/1/page

Here it gives the info in English. It says it has no parking for coaches so that is probably why there are not many cruise ships that do this as an excursion. Someone did and that is how it made it on the top excursion for Corsica for adventurous travelers on the cruisecritic website. From there it was treetop adventures Corsica in Google and eventually I found the website.

So far I haven't found any cruise ship people that have actually done it. This website gives GPS coordinates and I plan on having Europe maps downloaded on my TomTom that I bought yesterday.

We have a 21 and a 19 year old with us and we have been duly warned that they won't do art and history only on this trip so I have been working on alternatives. Would love to have some company on this trip. This is not an official Disney excursion on this cruise so we need to plan it well on our owns. More heads are better than one and if we can find a second tongue (French) that would be even better.

Joe,

I found and put on the Links page on the web site the Ajaccio Tourism page. From there, I found a link to Renault Rent in Ajaccio with contact information.

There's a lot of good info on that Ajaccio Tourism page. Check out the "Download" button over on the right.

My Mustang came home today.

I can't afford cruise clothes now so please don't make fun of my "old rags!" :rotfl2:

Too cool, Jill! A new 'stang is a great reason to wear "old rags" on vacation!

Nice Ride Jill, good shape too, hard to find a rag top that nice. I sold my 48 and my 49 International Pick-ups this year, miss the spring and fall cruising.

That's an understatement. That will take me all week to digest. I will look and see if I can find like a 15-20 passenger minibus that would be cheaper than 4 or 5 cars. From what I have found the zip-line excursion was sold as a 4 hour excursion with about 2 hours at the the actual stop in Vero. Car rental is easy if it is just a couple of families but if more want to join a larger vehicle may be necessary.

I am looking at $75 per person as the cost. $30+ for vehicle, $25 for zip line and $20 food/ souvenir. Still cheaper than Disney and we might have more say in where and what we see.

Sarah,

I don't think the May 5th folks have gotten their assignments yet...I would think we'd be a week and a half after them.

Interesting. The $999 Category 12 GTY fares were gone for our cruise yesterday; they are back again today. Wonder if it was just a glitch?

Ah, somehow I thought they got theirs. Oh well! I'm not very good at this waiting stuff. :confused3

Jill, nice looking car!! Not my type but it looks fun to drive around in. :thumbsup2

Ok so if Jill, Sayhello and I sit with Jeff's family that makes 7. Are there any other singles that want to join in on the fun? Only other single I can think of is Blake, but my memory has been flaky lately. Blake or any other solo want to join in on the fun? No worries Jeff has assured me he cleans up nice. :lmao:

Fáilte Curis,

You will love cruising on Disney. What part of Dublin are you in ? We fly into Dublin and spend a few days before driving up the N3 to visit family in Donegal. We will have to visit on the ship about your wonderful city.

Mike

Hi Mike,

We have cruised before with RC but never with Disney and with the two kiddies think it will be great. We are from the city centre in Dublin - so very central - around the Ringsend area. Where are you staying in Dublin before the cruise - there are some great offers at the moment on Dublin hotels particularly with 'D4 hotels' - used to be Jurys and Berkeley Court. Hope the weather is nice for your stay in Ireland.

Cool Jill. Does it still run? What engine does it have in it? 289? :cool1:

Thanks everyone (not sure how to multi-quote). Not currently running although it doesn't look like it will take much to get it going again. It's got a straight 6. My boss is going to come over next week and help me get it running. It is pretty straight..no structural rust issues. I'm looking forward to getting it in to cruising condition. :)

I agree! Now if I could only loose 10 pounds between now and the cruise... :)

It was colder in Barcelona today then it is here in Minnesota, that's ok, I am just crowing about how great it is to have 60 degree days in March - records. Well I guess I am glad we are not sailing out of Charleston, S.C., third ship to have illness. Wash your hands often.

Hey, it looks like the May 5 cruisers are starting to get offers for paid upgrades. I'm assuming it shouldn't be long until they start getting room assignments for GTY's. Then a week & a half later... should be us!
