Never been there but you probably beat me. Would totally rather go there than get the VIP treatment at AK.

Oh no...Marceline is a one horse town in the middle of no where! I would love the VIP treatment at AK...that would be totally cool!

The Hotel Eurostars Grand Marina currently has a great rate for the period. Here is the link, looks like a fantastic hotel !!

It's a special deal through a website called TravelZoo

That's where i'm staying the night before. I got a very slightly cheaper rate but did book on the day that bookings for the 14 May opened. The hotel is at the port so is ultra convenient.

Nice work ICollectBelle (MOM!!!)... I know you worked very hard on these and I'm excited to see them =) The cruise will be here before you know it. :yay: Any ideas for good gifts for the fish extenders??? I will have to contribute something myself....
:banana::dance3::thumbsup2

Very nice indeed! :thumbsup2

That really does look to be a great deal. I'm looking at it and it costs the same for one person to go as it does for 2. So I think I'm going to book for 2 and get 2 welcome drinks.

Oooo.... a hotel at the port *DOES* sound very convenient! I'm going to have to give it a look-see!

LOL thanks Jill, I got that song stuck in my head now that I am going to bed. Linking ressie would be fun, since I would at least know a few people, although part of me loves to see who they match the single people with since I have always been the only solo on the boat.

ETA: I am the 1000th post on this thread. YAY!!!
I agree, linking ressies would be fun (although I'm already eating with you twice already! :) ) It would be interesting to see if they'd put us at a table by ourselves, or with single guys, or put us at a huge table with others... Who wants to do the deed?

Looks like I missed all the competition this morning! :rotfl:

Single men on a Disney Cruise...I think I would have to die and go to heaven if I saw that!!

Being a wine fanatic, I decided to look at the wines Disney was offering in their Classic wine package and Premium wine package. Were they any good? Is the price difference in the packages justified? WS is Wine Spectator, my go-to source for wine ratings. WE is Wine Enthusiast, which I checked if I found nothing on WS. Additionally, Disney doesn't list vintages so I assumed they would have what was most current. The price per day (bottle) for the classic package turns out to be about $28. For the premium, about $43. I read in another cruise thread that DCL told them they would only sell the 10 day packages on the 10 & 11 night Med cruises, which is consistent with what they did in 2007. So, the Classic package, with 15% gratuity added on would be ~$325. The Premium package would be ~ $495.

I just cancelled my Renaissance hotel reservation and booked the Grand Marina hotel. Thanks for the link! Looks like I've paid in advance though. My Spanish isn't so hot though. ;)

Good info Jeff. Palo has a different selection of wines and I was able to order a glass from Palo in the regular dining room in November on the Wonder.

Heheheheh. Great minds think alike! (Although I haven't cancelled my reservation at the Renaissance yet, since the info is at home & I'm at work. :goodvibes ) The Grand Marina was just too good to pass up, *especially* at that price! Fortunately, I have trip insurance, so I wasn't *too* worried about pre-paying!

Jeff, any idea where the Eurostars Grand Marina is located in relation to the dock for the Magic?

The Eurostars is very close...maybe not even a mile to Terminal C. There's even a "blue bus" that runs from very near the hotel to all of the cruise terminals. Per the Barcelona Tourist site, the cost is $2 Euro.

I've toyed with changing from the Novotel prior to the cruise but the more I read about the noise and smell, the more I think I'll stay. The hotel is located on the pier right where cruise terminals N, S and E are. Some people (not all) complain about the ships horns, engine noise and diesel smell. If you're a sound sleeper I could see where it might not both you. Unfortunately, I'm a pretty light sleeper.

Just checked airfares for the heck of it...for me they're $125/ticket above what I paid. They have yet to dip below the price I paid so that makes me happy. :woohoo:

Well hi Cindy and Curt,

Warmer weather ? You are warmer weather to us. This weekend we have a group headed south until we find an open golf course, we usually end up around the Kansas City area.
