MAY looking for free dining

i'm so hoping for FD in may as my DH and i are going back for the flower festival.can't wait as we need to get away our daughter was engaged and the wed is called off so we have alot of tention in the house. looking for the FD so we can have an inexpensive holiday just the 2 of us.

I'm hoping and praying for free dining too!! We are going the week of Memorial Day again and in the past have always had free dining. Saves us the most money with 3 teen boys!!

Sorry to say "don't hold your breath" Disney has already released their discount for May of this year. I doubt we'll see any more discounts released unless the booking numbers don't look good.

I've pretty much given up hope for any sort of free dining this year; based on Disney's current corporate philosophy towards discounts I think the best we'll see are "up to 30%" room discounts.

In fact, I've gone a different route this year to "save" by renting points and getting an 8 night stay at a BLT studio lake view for $1900, versus the $4400 online rack rate.

Free dining in May would be nice to have.....but if it doesn't happen I will probably go anyway and make up for the cost of food somewhere else (like stay less days, or eat in the room more often)

Yes we are going regardless with the room discount but free dining would save us much more.

We want free dining for may as well!!! However we will not go if we don't get it. We have been searching out other vacations ideas for our 2013 trip.

Unfortunately, Mary doesn't keep the historical record of discounts before 2010, so I'm not sure if it was offered in previous years.

Sorry, let me rephrase that. There were 5 stinkin' days TOTAL out of 124 days in the last 4 years in May where free dining was offered. I still wouldn't be holding my breath as those days had to be booked in Aug-Dec of 2010 for May 2011 and it's already January of 2013.

I posted earlier that I did. I received an email from Disney Destinations and there was a PIN in it. I made our reservations and used the PIN and we had Free Dining. I do not know how they pick and choose who to send them to but I would Love to get another one!!!

They're randomly sent out. They come via email, snail mail, and sometimes they are simply attached to your name in the Disney reservation system. You can call and ask them to check.

Right. Im aware of that. We checked in the day the promo started and I can't remember what the last day was but we were there for 6 nights.

But there was the stay, play, and dine. Maybe they will release that??? I'm not giving up hope. Going regardless but still hoping for a better desk.
