May I use Disney Dollars at all of the Disney restaurants?

Hi everyone! My husband and I are saving for our trip partially with Disney Dollars. We asked for Disney Dollars for birthdays, christmas, and our anniversary, and we've also been purchasing $100 Disney Dollars each month. I was wondering if I can use the Disney Dollars at any Disney restaurant, or are there certain places that are excluded? Particulary, I'm wondering if California Grill accepts them?

Thanks!
Angela

They will accept Disney Dollars at all locations on WDW, from the smallest carts up to V&A. Also, the non-Disney hotels on WDW are also required by Disney to accept them.

About the only places I can think of that won't would be taxicabs (and then they may anyway).

WOW. Thanks Cheshire Figment! This is great to know.

Does SOG take WDW gift cards? That would be WONDERFUL news!

My advice would be if you are paying with Disney Dollars DO NOT leave them in the folder and walk out. The one time we did that we ended up having the entire amount of the Disney Dollars charged to our room (we left the amount we owed, plus a tip). It was a HUGE pain in the tushy to fix because I couldn't find the receipt from that meal the morning we were checking out and saw the charge on our bill.
The only thing I can think of is that the server either didn't know what they were or didn't know how to enter them properly. Next time I will sit at the table until I am SURE the server has processed the transaction correctly. :)

Hmmm...good advice. Thanks! We'll stick around to make sure our bill is closed out smoothly. We're not staying on site, so they couldn't charge to our room, but I still don't want anyone chasing me down outside of the restaurant thinking I had not paid my bill. :)

I personally would bring some cash for tips - I'm not sure how easy it is for servers to exchange the disney dollars and wouldn't want to inconveinence them

Can you tell me where you purchase disney dollars at?

thanks

We purchase ours at our local Disney Store. They have denominations of $1, $5, and $10. Right now, my local store has the Mickey's 80th anniversary ones with pictures of Mickey Mouse on them.

You can also get them at Disneyworld or Disneyland. And, there are some on E-bay, but as always, you would want to exercise the normal caution when purchasing from an individual. And, keep in mind that some people collect these, so on E-bay they are often not being sold for face value, and you have to pay shipping costs.

You can also purchase them by calling Disney, but you have to pay for shipping.
