May I respectfully make a request for the resort reviews?

Could you please comment on what laundry facilities are available? This question comes up quite frequently on the resorts board. Lots of people who fly try and limit how many clothes they bring. It would be nice to know if there are adequate laundry facilities so we can bring less clothes and do a load of wash mid-week.

:flower3:

There are laundry facilities in all of the resorts for guest use ranging from value to deluxe. If you get a multi-bedroom DVC suite, there's a washer and dryer right in your room. Otherwise you'll have to use the communal laundry area.

Blah! I'm on vacation! No way I'm doing laundry!! I'll pay the extra bag fees. Or better yet, just buy some new clothes while there! :rotfl:

I ALWAYS do laundry on holiday. Mainly because I LOVE the smell of Tide, and we just don't have it over here! I have been sniffing all the products in the laundry section of the supermarket, and it just doesn't compare!

I know I am crazy right? :rotfl:

P.S. Should I contact P&G in the UK and ask if they have/ intend to have the product in the UK? I have seen adverts in the 1950's magazines I have been reading, but it's not around now!

I can speak about CBR. There are laundry facilities at each quiet pool. You can be doing your laundry while you are swimming. It requires your room key to entire the room.

Yes, but they are not all created equal. Just like each resort has a food court, but there is a wide variety of food items, size, etc. :flower3:

They are not all exactly equal, but they are pretty close.
They all require your room key to enter. They all are located near the pool (main pool or sometimes the quiet pools).
Every one I have been in (and that encompasses most of the resorts plus DCL) was clean and well functioning.
I have never lost any clothing or had a machine malfunction.
I am the early riser in my family and when the kids were little, I'd get up early and go spend some quiet time at the laundry before everyone got up.
Ever since we joined DVC in 2000- I have to say I am spoiled with the 1 & 2 bedroom units having it right there in the room!

I never did laundry on vacation before, but on our December trip to Disapalooza 2.0 I did a few loads. When traveling with a child, their stroller, car seat and other bulky baby items, I try to pack as light as possible.

On our trip in May we will be staying offsite at Sheraton Vistana Villages because of the AWESOME rate Dreams Unlimited is offering. We will have a washer and dryer in our room and you better believe ALL of my laundry will be clean before we finish our vacation off at Animal Kingdom Villas!

So, what makes you the expert on CBR? You act like it's your favorite resort or something. ;) :lmao:

I have done laundry at POP by the main pool, GF one room in each building, BC was by the quiet pool, BWV had my own in the unit. I think Disney does a great job at providing this service. I love coming home with clean clothes and not a mountain of laundry. I usually throw it in our pool day. There are multiple washers and dryers so you can do several loads in an hours time.
