May have to Postpone Disney Trip

We may have to postpone our trip in October. Due to an unexpected family emergency, I had to go to Alaska for over two weeks. As a result, I depleted some of our vacation funds. I paid for our San Diego hotel using HHonors points, so I need to find out their cancellation policy.

I know our Disney Vacation Pkg is refundable, but I need to find out if the pin code rate will still be available to us in January. We may still be able to swing it at the end of the month, but I'd rather wait so we don't have to worry about money so much.

I am already going to Vegas in a week or two, where I will inevitably spend a few dollars. The plane ticket for that is not refundable, so cancelling isn't an option. The room is a time share, that's paid for, so I'm not worried about that. The LV trip was actually a last minute trip I decided to go on w/ my girlfriends from high school. Just thought I'd update.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hopefully, things will work out for you and your family.

HHonors points reservations are refundable. I had reserved a room using points for my wife while she was visiting family and she decided to stay with said family instead. I cancelled the day before she was to check-in and got a full refund of the points.
