May have to give up 1/2 marathon spot

I signed up for W&D a couple of weeks ago....now I may not get to run my first half ever

I had ankle surgery 2 1/2 years ago and have been able to run since then and have participated in several races (just not a 1/2)

Well all of a sudden I am now having excruciating pain in my same ankle and times where I can't even stand on it

So....If my fears are realized and I have to stop my training. Can I transfer my race registration to someone else?

I am pretty sure your only option is to get an injury waiver until the following year. I suppose someone could pick up your race packet and run "as you".

Good luck with your injury. I hope it is only temporary.
