MAY Countdown!! This is it, folks

I will also be there May 20th to 26th at Hojo!

Premium veiw with the retro rate:cool1:

We will be staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn but I did see the retro rates at HoJo and what a great deal! We should all wear disboard shirts so we can find eachother at disnyland, jk :rotfl: How stylish we would look in our matching shirts

Us too! :cool1:It's my Dh first vacation in two years!! We are bringing the whole family. So since they are on spring break this week and we leave in 17 DAYS! We have been having family movie night every night after dinner! We've themed it to rides this week. So Mon was Toy Story and last night was Pirates tonight is Haunted Mansion! We are such Disney geeks!!!!popcorn::
Oooh I'm so jealous! I can't talk Disney here without my darling pre-teen DD12 rolls her eyes: "oh boy! Disney again." Or DH stops me cold. Well, at least now FINALLY DH is getting excited so I can talk a little bit more of the trip :sad2:
DS10 also doesn't want to talk much ("Mommy, you're sooo Disney-obssesed") since he says that time will go slooooow if he thinks about it.
So everyone will really be excited when... we wake up at 3:30am in 15 days more...:dance3:

OK, so now Little Mermaid is down as Al predicted! Bummer! At least it will be up in our last day... I need to update Post #15!!!

Hi guys!! Posted your dates on #1. :goodvibes
I am going may 12-18 and staying at the fairfield inn :) SOO excited! I may be 23 but I will never stop loving disneyland!:cheer2:
Well I'm (almost!) 20 years older than you and I'm also exciteeed! :yay:

Let me join!

We are finally all booked. We are staying May 20-26th at the Paradise Pier... all on Airmiles! (well hotel anyways)
We were supposed to do a cruise in Feb but medical stuff came up and had to cancel 3 days before and that was hard enough to deal with.
I got our 5 day park hoppers for free from work for being such a fabulous employee :) and our flights were already covered due to the cancellation of the cruise.
Wow how wonderful! Good job!

We are planning for May also!! :goodvibes DH spent a day at DL last year when he was in California for work and had a day off, and decided he wanted to take me and DS there sooner rather than later. We'll be there May 14th-18th staying at Wyndham Dolphin's Cove. Only 32 days left!
:dance3: It's coming now!

Hi! Just joining the thread after finally registering for the DISboards (I've been lurking for a while now).

We'll be staying at the DLH May 2-6. This is our second trip to DLR, our first was in January (at PPH), with my family. This time we're taking a 'retro' trip inspired by 1950s-1960s Disneyland, and going with just the three of us (me, DH and DD), the week before DD turns three. We'll also be driving down this time, instead of flying (we live in the SF Bay area). I am so excited!

I'll be blogging about our retro-inspired trip (kind of like a pre- and post-trip report) - you can find the link on my profile page.

Only 20 days until we are there!

I'm super excited, we added a night to the beginning of our trip so we can spend the full day of the 29th in the park (since it is a Tuesday, and a non-grad night) and hope for lower crowds - so now we're coming in on Memorial day and that means we'll be there one day sooner! Woo hooo!:yay:

Only 18 more days to go for us!!!!! I cant believe how fast its gone- Im hoping the last few weeks dont drag. My DS is so excited.. every time hes watching the Disney Jr channel and they show the castle, he yells out... "Mommy, we going to DISNEYLAND!!!" I dont think I will ever forget that! He has no idea yet what disneyland even is, but hes just feeding off us!!!

Thought I'd update some of our plans. BTW, we are visiting southern CA, not Disney. For us, DL is just a one day stop on the way and was a last minute decision to add in...crazy, I know!!! We are doing a week plus at WDW 1.5 years later.

Day 1. Arrive at LAX at 1130. Drive over to Anaheim, stopping at a grocery store on the way. I have minimal desire to eat at Disney, so we'll be taking in our lunches. We will buy treats like ice cream though :) Kids will play at the pool. Getting take out from OC Poultry and Rotisserie for dinner. This is a Vietnamese place. They sell foot long banh mi sandwiches for about $3 and it's supposed to be awesome! We'll grab a rotisserie chicken for the boys and use leftovers for sandwiches the next day. Also stopping at Brianna's in the same area for some fruit plates. It's basically a store front fruit cart that also sells yogurt and ice cream.

Day 2. Praying the kids don't wake up at 3am...coming from NH. Headed to Disney for the Day. Will get there for rope drop and leave before dinner most likely. They are only 2 and 3. Take out by the pool again...this time from Cortina's Italian Market....or maybe Doner G for some Middle Eastern.

Day 3. Surf's Up with Mickey at 740am. Then we'll drive down the coast to Carlsbad, stopping at anything fun/interesting along the way.

I'll stop there since this thread is about Disney unless anyone has any questions about our Carlsbad, San Diego, or last night in Hawthorne plans.

Ugh. My dates are the very LAST dates of May and this calendar is taking forever to come up. My big question is Fantasmic. We are only going to be there late Sunday night through Friday so currently we would miss it. But I could stay later Friday night to see it, though I don't really want to since we have a very early morning flight Saturday. I was hoping since it's Memorial Day on Monday it might show on Monday. Anyone know my chances?

I'm running out of time to buy the cheaper on-line tickets and have them sent to me and I'm trying to figure out how many days we need. I'd love to only do 4 day tickets with our fifth day for touring LA but if I have to I'll buy 5 days and just squeeze LA into 2 Disneyland days. Seeing Fantasmic so we can compare it to WDW's is pretty important to us so I'm willing to go out of my way to do it.
Fantasmic! on Memorial Day AND Tuesday so far!! Weekend hours on those days too!

(unless they change it, which happens)

19 More Sleeps until Disneyland!!!!!!! I'm just a little excited! :rotfl2:

:yay::banana::yay::banana::yay::banana::yay:

9 days ill be in cali 11 days til magic I can't wait its crawling tho I'm packed lets fly time lol

So hope they don't! I'm going to buy my 4 day tickets today. So I'm counting on plenty of evening shows to choose from now that I've seen the first 2 days!

Now I just have to wait for Ridemax to have that week.

Soooo much waiting. At least we're getting to where we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Our disneyland express tickets from getawaytoday just arrived in the mail. That was fast, we ordered them last week.

Im glad I booked when I did. I have been checking pricing quite a bit for my dates to see if they go down at all but they have gone up quite a bit. PPH is now 300 more for the exact same dates and package as what I paid. We wouldnt have been able to stay there had I waited on booking.
