MAY Countdown!! This is it, folks

Yep shoes are very important. It took me a long time to convince my wife to wear tennis shoes whenever we would go somewhere that required a lot of walking. She would always start complaining about her feet only a few hours in because she wanted to wear her "cute" shoes that went with her outfit. She even wore flip flops one time when I was taking her on a short hike in the woods. Now she finally agrees that wearing good walking shoes are the way to go. But she wants DD to wear some hard plastic princess shoes all the time. So now I have to try and break her of THAT habit.

I plan on buying some new walking or running shoes before our trip so I have nice new cushy shoes on the trip.

We ended up buying two pairs of Crocs in the park for Dh and I. I wear flip folps every where and I even have worn them to DL my previous trips and it didn't bother me. But this year I was hurting so BAD! I got croc flip flops though and besides the "breaking them in curve" they were heavenly! Dh got canvas outside with Mickey on them and a croc sole! He loves them and he is so picky!!! My girls had their saltwater's and they didn't complain too much but I wish I had given them their socs and converse! You should have her look for the glitter converse on the Old Navy website they look really cute with the dresses! It would make for a good compromise!! :O) I believe sketchers have some glitter sneakers too! :thumbsup2

The weather was gloomy while we were there this week. It was mostly cold and drizzzley. Not sure what the weather is going to be like for the rest of this week but jeans and hoodies were a must! And I expected it to be warm and sunny so we only had one of each for each of us! It was crowded at times with groups of people. There seemed to be a lot of field trips and reunion groups. We were expecting a dead park like in years past. Our wait times were about 30 minutes -45 minutes. Later in the day wait times dropped and we could walk on Pirates and Haunted Mansion but that was usually while everyone else was waiting for the parades. If I have one piece of advice where the most comfortable shoes you can. We had to buy new shoes because our feet hurt SO bad!!!

We just got home today, I agree about the weather. The weekend was quite nice, but the rest of the week was cool and drizzly. For the most part I didn't mind though, beats being too hot I guess. But was disappointed we didn't get more pool time.

Crowds wasn't too bad I thought most of the time. It had its moments I guess. But we also had my brother that is in a wheel chair with us, so that really cut back on our waiting times. We did everything it seems several times, which was great. And he had a great time, which was most important.

I brought two pairs of new Crocs this year to the parks. My sandal like crocs did best over all. I did get a few blisters though. My feet and legs are barely functioning now, and I'm limping all over the house. lol

Good to be home, but gosh I miss it already! It just goes by way too fast! To all that is getting ready to go, I hope you have a great time! I know we did!

I just zipped up my suitcase. We will be heading for the airport at 4:00 in the morning. I plan to be in Disneyland for lunch:woohoo:

We're here now :) It's been perfect weather-wise--I'd guess about 70 today. I didn't need a sweatshirt by the time I left at 8pm. Sunny, for sure, with some clouds, but nothing bad at all.

Just came across this thread, we'll be there from May 10 - May 16 staying at the Ramada Maingate. Kind of sad that our year of having an AP is coming to an end but at least we know we'll be back at Christmas 2012.
