We are renting a cart from Kenny and arriving at the Fort next week. Anyone know if the carts are electric or gas? It is our first time at the Fort as new RV owners and we are SUPER excited!!!!!!

Kenny's carts have some get-up-and-go.

They peel rubber. :drive:

If you're planning on having it delivered to the Outpost parking lot I heard a rumor that FW is no longer allowing offsite vendors to deliver. That wasn't so when I was there October but reportedly started shortly thereafter.

P.S. Had a disastrous experience with Orlando Cart Rentals in October.

You need to contact kenny and verify what the current delivery method is. I understand it has recently changed. Then post an update so the rest of will know.

I was there last week. You just need to call him the day before to tell him the timeframe you think you'll be there. Then I called him once I checked in and he had it delivered to my cabin within 20 minutes. Then I called him the night before and arranged a time to have it picked up. It was picked up directly from my cabin. No worries!! His carts are fast. One thing to note is the cart I had was not holding a long battery charge. I mentioned this on pickup and he thanked me because usually it's going to someone else right away and obviously no one else had mentioned this to him. As always great service and the cart was way better then disney's. I had to wait behind disney's carts driving around because they were so much slower. Have fun!

Thanks...so what I'm gathering is Kenny can still deliver to the Fort. Now, where do we pick the cart up from him? We are staying in a full hook-up site (I requested 1700 Loop).

You just call him with your site number and he will bring it right to you. Then he will pick it up from your site on the last day.

Retired and Happy,

I just spoke with, I think Mrs. Carroll, and the customer service was outstanding. She said that an incident had happened between an outside golf cart vendor and Disney but did not affect Kenny's service. She stated she would call me the day before we arrive to verify reservation (which is Dec 21st) and then I would contact Kenny once we receive our site number. She stated that Kenny would then drop the cart off at my site at whatever designated time I give him. The service is above all and they ensure to make the trip truly magical. WE ARE SOOOO EXCITED!!! Camper is mostly packed but it looks like we need to change wardrobes because the weather will now be slightly warm...arrgghhhh!!!

FW is not allowing off-site vendors into the Outpost parking lot for golf cart delivery. We had scheduled delivery with Central Florida Golf Carts on December 16th and they were not allowed in either of the gates. The Disney representative, who was guarding the vendor's vehicle with security) was great and matched our quoted price with CFGC for a FW golf cart rental. FW golf carts are not sold out for the busy holiday season, which (in addition to safety) is probably part of the reason for the crackdown on off-site vendors.

Matched the price, WOW, maybe WDW is getting our message.

Our first time in November renting a cart. We rented from the Fort and was simple and a good cart. IMO renting from the Fort is wise if anytime you might have a problem they are there.
