Sorry, I know everyone is currently ooh-ing and aah-ing over 2014 Free Dining offers but I'm still on the lookout for 2013!

Are there usually flight sales over either of the May bank holidays? If so, do they usually include September?

Beginning to think I've picked the wrong 2 weeks to try and go as flights do not seem to be budging :( Thought with both Scottish and English schools being in session flights wouldn't be so high.

Historically I *think* VA and therefore also BA have sales at New Year, one of the May Bank Holidays (can't remember which though!) and August Bank Holiday.

Obviously what they've done in the past doesn't guarantee that it's definite for future.

I tend to fly in September every alternate year and I only buy in sales so it does usually cover that month.

Fingers crossed for the sale coming soon - I'm waiting on it too ;)

I booked our flights for last September on a BA flight sale. I booked them further out though but there were more deals that came up during our countdown that covered our dates. I found better prices if we left 2 days earlier so just rang Disney and added 2 days and what we saved on flights more than paid for the additional 2 nights plus our airport hotel with change left over. So if leaving a day or two earlier / coming back later helps with flight costs it may be worth adding a day or two to your stay if the savings justify it. It's all about keeping options open (and not having to pay for them :lmao:)

Thanks both - fingers crossed a sale happens that is actually beneficial to us! We are just on such a strict budget now we haved bought our flat that flight prices less than £600 each (which seems to be the static price for our dates) would give us such a better chance of going!

I've even managed to get the boyfriend to book the dates off work and everything (and he is still about 90% in the camp of we shouldn't be spending money on Florida!).

Your job is just to get him there .... leave it to Tink and Mickey to suck him into an obsessive need to keep going back ;)

Hahahaha, I like your thinking, Lee! He does slip up every so often and talk about it like we're definitely going but it's never too long before his sensible head returns :(

I can't believe that I'm at the stage of thinking anything under £600 is a good flight price!
