I'm just looking at a trip (our 3rd) for DD's 4th birthday which is on 5 May, rather inconveniently falling on a weekend this year. Do you think we'd be better going for a few days the week before or after? As I understand there are French holidays in both weeks? So maybe Wed-Sun, or Fri-Wed? If we can get in a couple of quieter days and EMH for the rides then I'm happy enough to use the weekend to eat, shop, observe, playareas, parades etc. DDs are 4 and 1 so wouldn't be up for lots of queuing. TIA.

Neither of them will be brillant crowd wise as you have 2 four day weekends - 29th of April to the 1st of May included and the 5th of May to the 8th included.

Wed-Sun will be the lesser of the two. You will have the longer hours so that will help and hopefully good weather.

Plan well and like you say do the rides before the weekend and then the parades etc the weekend :)

oh no! we've just booked 29 April to 1 may and didnt realise it was a holiday :( the one time I don't ask for advice here! will be prepared for horrible crowds I guess and hope to be surprised!

Thanks Carrie, appreciate the advice. :-)

It's the Magic, smallpig! We'll have a good time anyway :-)

Indeed! I checked the school holidays but forgot the bank hols - just annoyed at myself for not double checking :)

Just booked the hotel and BBWS tonight (using the offer carrie cat posted) - exciting! :)

We were there for the thursday and Friday of the ascension day long weekend last year and found it to be very busy but manageable. We planned all the must do rides etc into the quieter part of our stay and spent the busier days watching shows in the studios, riding what we could with fastpass (apart from a couple which we queued for) and eating nice meals. :goodvibes

Sounds good! Hopefully we'll have the longer hours so can try and do busy rides in the evening (found this a bit quieter last summer), and just make good use of fastpasses and enjoy the magic! Think we've been spoiled by mid week term time visits though!
