May at FW Cabins ******THE TIME IS HERE ******

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO  got new updates. I made a couple of ADRs today and I am really getting stoked.

So far here is what we have

Saturday May 16th
Chef Mickey's Breakfast
10:55
I could have gotten a 7:30 but I did not think we could all be up and ready and there by then since we will be getting in late Friday night and we have to be at the FW kennel to get Niko all straightened out first thing Saturday morning.

Monday May 18th
Whispering Canyon
1:45
I called them to get the cake for Dallas, but they will have to call me back. Dallas wants a chocolate cake with white icing, raspberry filling and Mickey and Pluto for decoration. He also wants them to put the raspberry filling on the sides of the cake...........:rotfl: I asked the CM if Dallas can order from the childs menu, he is a very picky eater, and she said she didn't think that would be a problem. I know on the DDP he could order from the child menu and they would still charge adult price. That is fine.

I think I am going to sneak in the DDP on everybody...........lol. Just adding the price of the meals we have booked already we are looking at almost $350 and that doesn't include tip.......:scared1:.

I am looking so forward to eating at WC. If anybody else has eaten there I would love some feedback.

I just got my return call from the cake ordering hotline. The lady was nice, but it seemed like she really wanted us to order the premade $21.00 cake. I told her I wanted a specialty cake and she said well that is $45.00 and for only 6 people the smaller cake would be better. I told her I wanted a specialty cake she said it would be better if I waited until we were closer to our dates to order the cake. Well, I can see that, but it sure seemed to me like she just didn't want to be bothered with it all.

So I will wait until we are about 2 weeks out to order Dallas' "chocolate cake with white icing and raspberry filling with Pluto and Mickey and hopefully raspberry filling on the sides".........................:rotfl:. Boy that is a mouth full. We are having it at WC since we are staying in the Cabins it will be easier to take the left over cake back to the room.

Now I have to decide if we want to rent a golf cart or not. Has anyone stayed here before? I read somewhere that the rental is about $400 a week :scared1:. I don't know if it would be worth that or not or just rent it as we see fit for about $60 a day. I would love any feed back.

Hey Dana...just stopping by to say hello. I'm just home from another day of bartending school..didn't really do a lot today but come Monday it's back to learning new stuff :)

Hi Dana!

Our last trip in 2007 was at the cabins in Ft Wilderness. We did not rent a golf cart...it would have been $370.00 and we had better things to do with that much $$$!! I all depends on you and your family. We had no trouble using the internal buses to get around Ft Wilderness. I have heard alot of other posters that say they would NEVER stay at Ft Wilderness without a golf cart!! Our cabin was close to the bus stops, (per my request) and the buses ran so often and were never full so it really was no problem for us. You will love the cabins!! I think the main pool rehab will be complete for your trip too!! When we were there that was the only complaint my DD's had...no fun pool!! We had previously stayed at CT, Poly and WL. We are staying at POR this trip so we will also be experiencing a new resort this trip!!

I hope you vacation is everything you expect and more!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I would love to know how to mix all the different drinks. I like the good tasting ones..........lol.

Thank you for answering. I am really looking forward to staying at the Cabins. I know it will be much quieter than staying at the hotels.

I really don't want to spend that extra money on the golf cart either. I am sure all 6 of us could not use just one cart anyway so I guess it would be kinda useless. From what I have read the main pool will be open. I know my kids are looking forward to the pool, but I could live without it. We stayed at ASMu last May and didn't go to the pool once.........lol. We did go to TL though. It was a nice water park but the wave pool have a very rough bottom and my poor youngest DS got his knees messed up bad. We stayed at POR in 2002. It is a very big resort.

Happy planning and hope you have a great trip.

Can you tell me the number to order a cake? Austin turns 1 on the 9tha nd we really want to do a cake while we are there. Thought about our lunch at Sci Fi? Is there certain places we can do it?

They will deliver a cake to most anywhere. The number I called was 407-827-2253. My bunch is now wanting to cancel the WC and change it to T-Rex. That is fine with me, but I told them they needed to hurry up and make up their minds because the ADRs will be filling up much faster now.

OK, Dallas is now sure he wants to do T-Rex and I have to agree. I really want to eat there and he really wants to do the "Build-a-dino". He will have about $100.00 saved up for the trip so I think he could build at least one...........:lmao:. I may decide to build me one too :rotfl:. I like the menu there as they have such a vast menu we will all be able to find something.

Amanda and Matt may not go to CM with us :sad1:. She said she really wants to just spend her time in the parks with her boyfriend. I can understand. I told her I did expect her and Matt to join us for the birthday celebration though. They are gonna eat at PH one night. Not for me again. I am still thinking about sneaking the DDP or at least the QSDP in on everyone. I think the QSDP would be good. It gives everyone the option to eat where they want without worrying about when or where they eat. I know Tyler and I would love it. We like to try new stuff....:thumbsup2. And I love the snack option. We get two snacks on the QSDP and that would more than make up breakfast. And I intend to go off my diet for that week. I am gonna eat school bread till it runs out my ears and eyes..............:lmao:.

Oh, I really want to try TREX too, the pics look great. And as for the school bread, i've never had it before, but have seen many pictures of it and heard others opinions, and I cannot wait to try it....

OK, OK, OK, I am tooooooooo excited. I have new ADRs made and changes to old ADRs. Amanda and Matt wants to eat at PH so I made their ADR for May 19th at 2:30. They will be going to DTD that day to shop and hang out and that is the time they wanted because they plan on sleeping in that day.
Matt really wants to eat there as he has eaten at other PHs. We real did not want to eat there again. They can use the $15 voucher and that will save them some money. Amanda will be turning 21 about 3 weeks before we get there and I asked that she not drink any "adult beverages" without her dad and me.........:rotfl:. She has never drank before so I just want to make sure she doesn't get sick . She isn't much on the idea of drinking anyway. Matt wanted to go to DQ and when Amanda found out today that it was $42.60 she said she was going to try and talk him out of it........:lmao:.

I made an ADR for Dale and I at The Wave for May 20th at 7:15pm. I am really excited about this one as I really want to try them. I love the decor and the menu looks yummy. I have thought about calling and asking if Dale can order a hamburger at dinner as he is such a picky eater...........:rotfl2:. Brandi I could use your advice here. I know ya'll ate there when you went in Jan. Was it as cool on the inside as the pics look? I can't wait......:woohoo: I can't remember if you said you got dessert or not?

We changed our CM ADR to 10:35 on the same day(May 16th) and cut the number down to 4 of us. Matt and Amanda did not want to go. Matt said he could not see paying that much for breakfast food........:lmao:. Boy is he missing out :rolleyes1. Maria(the CM) asked about the birthday celebration. She said she put a special note on our ADR and made sure she put Dallas' name on it. I can't wait to see what happens.

Ok now for the info. I asked Maria about making T-Rex ADRs and she gave me their phone number and said I would have to call them directly. I called the number and the girl was very helpful and I was able to get the "priority seating" I wanted for 1pm on May 18th. I will have to cancel the WC now as this is where Dallas really wants to go. I asked her about a cake and she said I would have to bring my own cake as they do not have delivery nor do they make cakes there. She suggested Goodings across the street.........:scared1:. I think I will get the cake from GF bakery or Boardwalk bakery.

Ya'll I am getting soooooooooooooooooooo excited :woohoo: :cheer2: :dance3:.

I know I am excited about T-Rex too. I know it will be the same type food as say Applebees, but it looks like alot of fun for kids there.

Once you have school bread you will be hooked for life. I was skeptical about it because I didn't think anything could be as good as everybody on the Dis made out :rolleyes1 . BOY WAS I WRONG. This stuff was sooooooo good. I have been trying for the past 9 months to find something, anything that comes close to it...........nada, nothing. And it is big enough for two to share and feel stuffed. You have to try it at least once, but beware you WILL be hooked .

I am so glad I found you PTR, and can't wait to read your TR!!!

We are planning a trip in 2011 to the cabins, and can't wait to here your review. When we go we will bw a party of 4 adults and hopefully and infant!!!

All right! I'm all caught up! Great PTR so far, your family is adorable! I'd like to stay in the cabins someday. My goal is to stay at all of the resorts at least once, but ever since we stayed at the BC last year, DH only wants to do deluxe....oh darn!!

We are eating at T-Rex too! Our DD will love it! She loves Rainforest Cafe, especially when it thunderstorms inside!

Congrats on the weight loss! That's fantastic. I have been trying and trying to loose weight, but nothing seems to work. I work out and eat small portions of food that are supposed to be good for me, but I was diagnosed with PCOS before I was preggers with Emily and it's really been tough to loose around the mid-section.:headache: I'll keep on truckin' though and hope the belly melts away!!!

Can't wait to read more!!!

:welcome:. Thanks for reading. And Congrats on the weight loss :cheer2:. We can keep each other motivated on that front. I need all the help I can get, I have a family of big eaters......lol.

I will definately write a report on the Cabins, I am so excited to be staying there, knowing I can cook and someone else cleans.............:yay: :woohoo:. I don't know about renting a golf cart though I guess I will know that once we get there.

Awe planning a new baby :thumbsup2. That is job security for me..........:rotfl:. I am a neo-natal nurse ;). I love babies :cloud9: . I have the best job.

Planning is part of the fun.

Thanks for coming over here....:goodvibes.

I am looking forward to T-Rex. I love places like that. I am a big kid at heart, but shhhhhhhhhh don't tell my DH he will think it is ok to give me teddy bear for my up coming b'day...........:lmao:. I haven't been lucky enough to stay in a delux. I want to stay at the Poly or CR.

I think it will turn out better as far as the cake is concerned too. I will be able to order it from any bakery I want and take it with us. I have been sweating about the cake since the disaster last year.

Keep up with the diet I promise it will pay off. I though I was at a stand still until today when I went to the dr and they were very happy with my weight loss and size change. I have went from a size 20 to a 12. It has been difficult at times but then again I try to take it one day at a time. I stick to 1200 calories and that way I can eat anything I want. I have to decide if I want to spread it out over the day or eat it all at once. If I eat it all at once I try to go to bed early................lol. My weakness is Mexican food. I love Mexican food, and of course it is loaded with calories.

I love the cloths you have picked. I like buying new cloths

Hey girl!! The ADRs sound great. I know you'll love T Rex. It just sounds like a fun restaurant!

The Wave so cool inside! It was formal inside without being stuffy. The bar looked cool too. The food was so good but we ate at lunch so I can't wait for the dinner menu. The desserts are to die for!!!!!!! I posted a pic a few days ago of my food. It's my new fave restaurant.

What's your dates again? I'll have to go back and look. I can't remember if our dates overlap. I hope so!

I am too excited about The Wave. I have got to go back and look for the pics on your page. I don't know how I missed them. I like the dessert sampler thingie........:rotfl:. Boy my diet is going to suffer big time while we are down there :rolleyes1.

We arrive on the 15th, late if I can't talk Dale into taking off that day. I know ya'll leave on the 16th so we will kinda be passing each other on the way in and the way out. It would have been great if our dates overlapped more :sad1:.
