'Ohana Sunday evening may 9, our PS was for 7:00 we got there at 6:50 and we still had to wait for another 30 minutes, but it was Mother's Day, so no biggie. We all loved the chicken wings (but they are messy) we also liked the salad, the meat was fine--we all liked the turkey and shrimp the best---the steak wasn't very tender. For dessert we all had the pineapple and carmel which was delicious, my Mom (who is almost 74) ordered the Kona coffee and Irish Creme brulee---it was outstanding!!! The service was good. While we really liked this restaurant, it wasn't our favorite of the trip, but I'd probably go back.

Monday was lunch at Sci-Fi, had PS for 11:45, got there around 11:20 and they took us right in. Kids got the burgers which they liked. DH and I split a bowl of chili and a reuben, my mom and sister got onion rings and split the rueben as well. The chili was delicious!!!!! DH and I loved it! The rueben was okay---it was kind of dry and didn't have enough sauerkraut on it for our taste. DH, DM and sis also got shakes which they loved! I'd do this restaurant again but this time order two bowls of the the chili (hey, it's a small bowl! :p ). The kids really enjoyed this place and we did too.

Tuesday was Garden Grill, our service was GREAT! The food was good and we all loved the atmoshpere you just seemed like you were all by yourself. The bread was fine, the salad was delicious. Then came platters of flank steak, rotisserie chicken and catfish nuggets along with some steamed or grilled veggies and a big bowl of smashed potatoes. The flank steak was very tender and yummy! The chicken was also wonderful. The catfish nuggets were not good, they had gotten soggy from the juices of the meats and veggies. We all liked the veggies except for my Mom who likes her veggies cooked tender, but we all loved the smashed potatoes. The waiter kept playing with my Mom and she was loving all the attention (my Dad died from cancer last year and I think she needed this vacation!). He was so much fun. Also the kids got there own little platters of chicken fingers, fries and mac and cheese---they seemed to enjoy it. For dessert we got two skillets of cherry cobbler hot from the oven with ice cream on top and the kids got dirt pudding. YUMMY! We would definitely go back! Also the characters--Chip and Dale, Pluto and Mickey were great and they came around about three times to play with the kids.

Wednesday was dinner at Crystal Palace, the carved primerib was probably the most tender primerib we've ever had! They also had carved turkey but everyone kept going back for the prime rib, and ignoring the turkey. The salad bar was great as well---the rest of it was okay, but the dessert bar was wonderful! The kids also seemed to like their own buffet which pizza, chicken fingers and mac and cheese. The Pooh characters were great although the place was so busy they they only came around once.

Thursday Liberty Tree Tarven, probably our favorite! We were seated right away, our server was very nice and efficient. The hot from the oven hot rolls with the honey butter was out of this world---we all ate a ton of those. The salad was very good, then came a platter full of turkey breast (very moist), smoked pork chops (tasted like ham) and some kind of beef, and stuffing all the meat was good, but the turkey was the best we ate every bite of it. We also had some barely steamed green beans (we prefer our green beans more cooked with this type of meal) and mashed potatoes and gravy---oh and mac and cheese again! We all ate SO much, even the kids were loving it. For dessert she brought out a hot apple cobbler with crumb topping and a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream. The cobbler was devine!

Friday was our last day and we went to Rainforest Cafe at AK, we got seated in the gorilla room, very interesting place but if you want a quiet place don't go here, but we all enjoyed it. The service was okay---except at the end it took forever to get our bill and then our change. I got the shrimp platter, it was very good, DH got some kind of fish platter he liked his, DS (age 9) now refuses to eat from the kid's menu so he got a rainforest burger with bacon and ate most of it!!!!! It looked delicious---DH took a couple of bites and said it was very good and we all loved the chips that came with it and I don't even like chips! My sister got a chicken wrap and said it was good. Eight year old niece ordered the pizza and she loved it. It was a good place to eat, but kind of high prises (but no different than any of the restaurants in Disney).

The only counter service we ate at was Columbia House, sis and I shared a ham sandwich with broccoli slaw---she liked it, I thought it was okay. DH ordered clam chowder and a half a tuna sandwich and loved it. DS ordered a tuna fish sandwich and it was HUGE--I took a bite and thought it was delicious!

Thank you for the reviews! We tried GG and Sci Fi last trip and enjoyed them both. I am planning to try 'Ohana and LTT next time. :D

Great reviews meganbear!! Thanks so much for taking the time to type them up for us :teeth:

Donaldsgrl, the characters at LTT were minnie, pluto, chip and dale---they were great and since we had an early PS they came around two or three times as well. My son had on a goofy hat and my nieces had on disney sun visors, the characters played with them a lot---pulling them down over thier faces--taking them off and putting them on. It was cute.
