May 9, 2014 3-Night Bahamas on the Magic

Would you please pm me also? Im brand new to the boards (and cruising!) and we would love to be a part of the F.E. group for the May 9th cruise! Thank you!

I'm going to start making my FE gifts soon. This is our first cruise so I am new to this and I have a few questions about FE and online check in:)

1) Are we making gifts for each person or just children or something per family?

2) How big is a typical FE group? I am sure it depends on the cruise and the amount of people who want to participate but are we talking 15 gifts or 50 gifts? If we have a lot of people who want to participate does the group get broken into smaller groups? I'm thinking about suitcase space to bring gifts down and back and overall cost per gift.

3) i found the FB group but have not joined yet. Are the people on the FB group the same people on this thread?

4) We are using our birth certificates for identification. What paperwork should I have handy when I do online check in this weekend?

I'm sure I'll have more questions! TIA

from the reading i have done it is up to each cabin to choose what gifts they give you can do one per cabin or one per person it is totally up to you as far as the facebook page I am not sure haven't found it yet. I would hope if it gets to big we would split but if not i will just adjust my cost per gift and i did my online check in and all you would need is your cc info if you want to put a card on file if not you are good also you can start your online check in and go back to it another day and finish it the one thing you do need to complete it is a printer. hope this helps.

1) I think it just depends on what you would like to do. My family is planning gifts for each person but I think whatever you are comfortable with. :). I'm just looking at FE as a way to share something with other families who enjoy Disney as much as our family does :goodvibes:goodvibes.

2)I've read some stories on here about some pretty big groups but so far we are pretty small. But... we still have some time so it may get bigger? We are making most of our gifts because I'd like them to be more personalized. My Mother makes jewelry so she is super excited to make some stuff for the cruise. I'm planning for small gifts that can easily fit in suitcases. :)

3) I just joined the Facebook group. I'm not sure who is on both. I haven't joined the FE on there yet but they also look like a small group.

4)I'm wondering the same thing...?

I
I sent you an email :-) it will be a million times easier for me to do things by email than on here because I have to do everything on my phone.

Hello everyone!

We just made our payment and booked this cruise, we're all very excited to be joining you!

This will be our first Disney Cruise, and we've been reading up on everything we can think of.

We also want to be part of the Fish Extender group!!!

It is myself- I'm DeAnna (27 yo) my daughter Briley. (3 years old), my sister Christina ( 28 yo) and her son Braylon. ( 3 yo), who will be celebrating his 4th birthday (the whole reason for the cruise :) )

We've been on a few Disney Cruises and always participated in FE groups. I saw that the cut off date is in April and we're already up to ~10 families. One thing we did in our last group was to create separate groups when they got too big.

If We are doing gifts each night for each family I agree that 10 is a good number.

I was planning on only giving gifts one time. Do we all have to do the same thing?

When I've do FE, everyone does it the way they can afford to. Some do it per cabin, some only kids, some just once, some every day and some to everyone. It's whatever works. The larger the group the harder it gets.

Here is a basic list so everyone participating in the Fish Extender group can get started.:goodvibes:goodvibes I will email a more detailed list as we get closer. We still have time left so anyone wanting to join is welcome. Just send me a PM or post onto this board and I will get in touch with you! If I’ve missed anyone or if any info needs updating let me know. DEADLINE is APRIL 5th.

Thanks to everyone who has joined!! :goodvibes:goodvibes
Do you want me to start a Facebook group specifically for our FE? Also do you think we should break the group into 2 smaller groups. Like group A and group B? Then if more people come on they can add another group C, etc.... You don't have to be in charge of all of them if you don't want.

Ok I am totally fine only doing one night I was under the impression that was what we were doing this is my first fe

I am fine with just being one big group. I was actually looking forward to making a bunch of gifts and have already bought a bunch of supplies. If we end up splitting into groups, I will still probably give everyone a little something. (I mean, if everyone is okay with that ;])

I think the size of our group is good.
There are families missing from her last list post and seeing as that already has 33 people and it's being kept open until April 5th, I'm concerned it will get too large. I've seen FE groups not go so well when they get too big

I ment tbat the size of the group currently is good for me I agree if we keep it open till then I may be to large for me.

I got my fish extender from ikea yesterday so excited can`t shop for picks on here but it was only 4.99
