Thanks Cindy for the dining help

Both times I was pregnant we wanted a girl in the worst way. Now? I wouldn't trade my boys for anything. They love their mama so sweetly. Chandler was dress shopping with me last week (he has great taste). He judges dresses by how un-sexy or curvy I look. He says, "I do NOT like it when guys look at you. It makes me want to beat the crap out of random dudes and that's not a good thing." Awwwww....he's protective! And ask Brian who's my little "Boo". He's 14 and still wants to sneak some cuddle time whenever he can. Boys are weird as weird can be sometimes but it's awesome being the princess on 3 pedestals.![]()
And, Tiffany, many congrats to y'all on your next little boy bundle o'joy! Both times I was pregnant we wanted a girl in the worst way. Now? I wouldn't trade my boys for anything. Working on cleaning my house and FE stuff. I got the bought stuff bagged up. I little spoiler there will be one bag per room from me and the hubby but stuff in it is for adults and children. I am going to try and finish what I am making to go with it. If it does not fit in the bag there might be a couple of lose items in everyone's fish extenders from me.
Yikes Sara you are busy!!!
Kelly Im glad you havent ditched us![]()
Ok I am going to mail my FE gifts. I think they will add too much weight to our bags. I would rather pack more shoes![]()

I have a binder/notebook thing for the trip but it's not nearly as creative as yours sounds - I would love pics!
I thought you were wearing the pink number to Palo? Or maybe that was just to formal night and I'm the only one planning the same dress for both events XD. I hear you on shopping - we FINALLY got DH a sport coat this weekend. He looks so nice in it!
If none of the shipped bags show up, we can all go for a coffee /drink together and call it a day! LOL
Cindy - Somehow I didn't manage to quote you. Thanks for all of your continued cruise expertise!
Going through the clothes bins is definitly no fun -- so that is great you can use them with the new baby! That is definitly nice about having the same gender -- at least at the earlier ages -- you don't have to worry too much about buying clothes! Though now that Keely is playing hard on a playground equipment, I don't think a good portion of her clothes will make it to Jordan! Oh well, it was nice while it lasted! I also love that if there is something Keely doesn't like, I still have the hope Jordan will. We had a wardrobe episode this morning before church about a new dress my mom got her. Supposedly it was too itchy. But normally that is what bothers Jordan and she was willing to wear hers! Oh well -- I'm going to try to find a cami or something that maybe will help because it was one of the dresses I had planned for her to wear for the cruise and color coordinating things for the rest of us!I did! Even though I did not want another baby. I did NOT save the bigger things like his swing and bouncy chair thing but his toddler bed will convert back to a crib, and we have a high chair. It's actually the best thing about another boy - I don't have to go through all those bins of clothes before we move!![]()
Wow, see YOU are the busy one. That's crazy. I hope you don't get selected for jury duty for sure. And remember that your kids can always catch up some after the cruise if they need to. Try to enjoy this part of your vacation too and don't stress too much! A canvas tote bag totally works for an FE if you can't get yours made.![]()
Oh no, I forgot DH's French Press mug! I also forgot my camera battery charger! My brother has the same camera, so maybe he'll let me borrow his! At least I realized it now and not on the bought!!We are heading out to see if we can find a reasonably priced sport coat for my DH today! Outside of work he is very casual and doesn't have one that fits him. How silly is that? We also have to go pick up his French Press mug at REI (coffee snob anyone?) and we MIGHT look for a second bathing suit for me. More likely we will go out to eat and I will try to go suit hunting later in the week.
...Brian has needed my help with his school quite a bit this past week. He will for the next week, too. And, he may need to bring his laptop on the trip to do a little school each day. Before y'all go thinking I'm the meanest, my awfullest mama ever let me tell you what happened. But you can't let him know I told you! I generally don't go checkin-up on the boys' school stuff. In the past they told me what they needed me to do, I'd make a few clicks to look over things, and I trusted they were doing what they should when they should. Well, Brian has been fudgin' it for a loooong time. And me not being as familiar with how to spot these things with this curriculum (our first year using it) didn't catch it. Until last Monday. And we had a morning like this -->. So, all his fun is over for a bit. He had to turn over his iPad, iPhone, PS3 power cords, etc. I will give him credit, tho. He never fought the consequences. We've talked about it a lot. I think he's really learned from all this mess. Plus, since the big fall-out he's been working like a mad-man to catch everything up. I never would've thought he'd keep his nose to the ground and work THIS hard. Depending on how the next week goes, he *may* get to have a vacation free of school after all. Or maybe we'll have him bring the laptop thinking he'll be working an hour or two every day then let him have the good news once we're there.
Chandler went for another visit to the endo-doc Thursday. He said there doesn't seem to be any change in the size of the nodules. He wants to do another ultrasound in 3 months. To date, blood work indicates his thyroid is working fine. Still not sure how I feel about this doctor. I don't get the most solid vibe from him. We're going to be moving to Houston in the next few months anyway. I think after we get back from vacation we may go ahead and get him in with the Kelsey-Seybold folks and seek another opinion as well as establish him with a group in Houston.
That is so exciting!!OMG! Can't believe I'm forgetting this! Remember the old man is a huuuuge aviation buff???? And we're celebrating his big 4-0 on the cruise???? ((His b-day is actually 5/15...funny because that's the day he'll be going back to work!)) Well, we talked about Key West last weekend and he was saying how cool it'd be if we could do a sea plane tour like the ones I had seen when I was cruising the internet looking at KW stuff way back. Well, guess what we're doing in Key West?!?! Yep! Going on a 50-minute private sea plane tour! We're so jazzed! Gonna get some aerial pics of the ship, fly out to see some shipwrecks and wildlife from the air, then do some splash downs. None of us has ever been up in a sea plane/float plane. It's always been on my bucket list to take-off/land on the water. Hubby is so excited, too! I'm almost afraid I'm opening a major can o'worms here. He's been combing the internet for places in the Houston area to go back and finish his private pilot license. I keep tellin' him if he'd just sell that stinkin' boat of his.......![]()
That is so sweet about the clothes and dresses with Chandler. I love it! Makes me wish I had a son! And, Tiffany, many congrats to y'all on your next little boy bundle o'joy! You bet! That is my main plan -- RELAX!Wow, wow, wow! You are busy! I bet you can't wait to get on the ship so you can take a breath and relax!
So glad you guys are in the States! Hope all of you are having a great time celebrating and that the weather has been better!Hi my dear fellow cruisers!!!

So you all, I am thrilled as packing has actually commenced!!! Not much, but a small dent. And guess what, Christina? (I believe it was you who said I could pack an entire bag of shoes since no flights for us.) That is just what I packed today. I'm afraid to say my shoes take up most of the bag (it's a duffle on wheels).(And I don't even have all of the shoes I plan to take packed yet!)
We leave for the port in less than ten days!!!![]()
Haha Im jealous you can have a WHOLE bag of shoes!!!! Not me. Im sure I will have more than Chris THINKS I need, but not as many as I would like! Thanks for the details on shipping!! I knew that DCL lady left out a bunch of stuff AND I knew I could count on you guys
I have been getting myself organized tonight. Starting to decide what I want to pack. Fun fun!!!
Hi Luz! I can't wait to meet you as well! Happy Birthday to your DH! Hopefully the weather down that way has cleared up. It's been hot and sunny in this corner of the state for a few days.
Oh my, you guys and your binders and notebooks! I feel so unprepared. Last time I found a sheet of paper lying around and wrote notes on that. (I still haven't finished the scrapbook from the Nov 2010 cruise yet.)
I was thinking the same thing about Kelly's pink dress. Then again, I'm so easily confused in the state I have been in the past couple of weeks trying to get everything together. We have Palo booked on formal (or dress-up as they call it) night. Killing two birds with one stone here! I doubt I will buy a pirate costume for Pirate Night. But I did score a cute POTC tee at the Disney outlet in St. Augustine yesterday morning for 4.99! Score!
Even though I'm not sending anything to the port, can I join in on the drink if the boxes do not arrive? (Any excuse for an adult beverage works for me!)
You are most welcome with cruise advice and such. I love cruising! I mean LOVE IT!!! (Just found some pics of our 1998 Carnival cruise earlier this afternoon...memories!)

I am wearing a t-shirt that says "Pirate Pending" over the belly! Oh and of course you can have a drink with us... but Im really hoping my box comes so can we have a "yeah our boxes made it drink"?
Luckily my MIL buys most of DS' clothes anyway, and he is not at all picky. I hope it lasts a little longer!Going through the clothes bins is definitly no fun -- so that is great you can use them with the new baby! I definitely don't have too many shoes with me, but I definitely want to take things back to Taiwan too! Though I think we will be one of the more casual ones for dressy night. DH really wanted to buy a sports coat, but there really is NO where he would wear except on a cruise or if he takes another job some day. But he works with college students in semi-tropical Asia! Oh but I know where Keely gets it with the frustrations about clothes! I tried to get him to bring a pair of black pants, but he didn't like any of them. But he almost had a melt down about his khakis too! Trying to find hip slacks doesn't seem to work (and you know if you work with students you need to dress like them! (or so he thinks!) Dressy jeans is what we'll be going with most of the nights. I want to relax and not fight about clothes (hopefully! I'm trying to prepare Keely for needing to wear dresses every night though).
Thanks! I hope the boys will be close, but they are going to be 5 years apart so it's a little different. My sister and I are 6 years apart and it has been up and down, but we love each other anyway!Tiffany, I guess I forgot to quote you, but I think having the same gender of children is SO wonderful! My girls are just the best of friends and love playing with each other! And hearing things like Kelly said, which I have heard from others about how tight sons are with their moms is SO sweet!
Both of our children were actually unplanned - apparently the pill is not super effective for me. I am pretty sure there's going to be a more permanent form of birth control after this one is born. I always said if I could be guaranteed a girl I'd have a second one, but I don't think I can do three!Tiffany- I said/cry/begged.... the SAME thing after I had the boys. Camden is 8 and Aiden is 6. John was DONE having kids and I wanted a little girl SOOOOOOOOOOOO (did I say so??) bad but I had to let it go. We gave away all the baby stuff and I had to convince myself that we needed to move out of the baby stage of our life and have FUN with our boys. Then, in May of 09 BAM, I was prego with leah! She STILL is the little light in our eyes... you will see. She is a little stinker but THE best!!
She was totally unplanned, even with my thyroid problems, pregnancy was a long shot. But I guess God had different plans.. So after 4 years of no babies, we started all over again.
I guess just never say never
Ok, I'm off for some quick blood work (how fun) and I'll come back and catch up with everyone!
An entire suitcase of shoes! Love it!! I have reduced all my outfits down to one pair of universal shoes. I'll be strutting around the pool deck in my swim suit and 3" heels!
That would be a site, but don't worry I think I can squeeze in a comfy pair of flip flops, so no one has to claw their eyes out.
Oh and of course you can have a drink with us... but Im really hoping my box comes so can we have a "yeah our boxes made it drink"?
I called tonight about jury duty and my group has been postponed until Wednesday. Unfortunately, I'm in group 1 though! Group 7 - 14 got completely cancelled! I almost feel like a kid with a snow day! I feel so free to try to do some of the things I need to do! But my Dad is off too because he was going to watch the girls for a little while and he's excited to have us run errands with him! But spending time with him is important too!! And you are right if we end up with a canvas tote then that will be okay too!! I'm definitly feeling a tiny bit better about the schooling stuff. One of my childhood friends is a 1st grade teacher and I saw her at church this morning. She offered to help me with resources for Keely so that definitly takes a bit of the stress off! And I agree -- I can let her catch up later. We have all summer!

I started packing all 5 of us yesterday morning and by noon I was completely confused on who's wearing what and who still needs what!
After some lunch that included a margarita I started to see things in a much more clearer light. It's amazing how that works. The downside is the kids probably have different colored socks now, but Cole is only 5 so I can just blame that one him. I'm really only on the hook for the 2 older ones.
And now Brian is the one giving me problems! It's like he hasn't been listening to me for the last 6 months because all of the sudden he's saying things like, "Do I have to wear a sport coat?? OMG I wear dress shirts every day do I HAVE to wear them to dinner?"Yes and Yes!!! Unless you want to be THAT GUY and at Palo I'm sure they'll give a really sweet sport coat to use.

Everyone is so busy preparing for vacations. We're all going to need a vacation from our vacations.
I spent the weekend doing laundry (as always) and doing one of Camille's homework projects. I don't normally do homework for my kids but this was just busy work and it was a huge undertaking. She had to look up 100 diseases/birth defects online give the symptoms and causes. I think I have about a total of 6 or 7 hours spent on it and I know I went faster that she could have. Since she is missing a week of school I am making her do as much work ahead of time as possible and wanted her to focus on actual learning, NOT cutting and pasting.
Now to get everything done this week at work without being too distracted by the cruise packing and planning.![]()

Far as I'm concerned, you better join us for whatever drinks! Mine will be virgin so you can have my alcohol.
Yeah, DH is planning on wearing nice jeans at least some of the nights. He just lost 20 pounds and only has one pair of slacks that fit, and he doesn't want to go shop for more when he rarely wears them. He DID get a sport jacket for Palo though! We definitely won't be matching or anything, because all of us just don't have enough dressy clothes for it. Sundresses and polo shirts for the most part for us!
Does anyone know what ship is going to be in port the night before we are there? John wants to go to the little park by FishLips to watch/look!
Tiffany the Pirate Pending shirt sounds so cute!
My FE gifts are officially in the mail! Said a prayer that they would get their safely
I am going to crash on the plane! I am running non stop! Ok 2min disboard break over... back to work I go!

I am making a list of what I want to pack clothes wise but I can't actually pack my stuff until right before we leave, because I just don't have enough maternity stuff. :/ But I might do DS stuff today! I think I am bringing sneakers, flip flops, and a pair of semi-dressy flats. I MIGHT bring a second pair of flip flops because my main ones have a bit of a wedge and I should probably bring plain flat ones for the beach and stuff. That's it though!
Even better!
Luckily my MIL buys most of DS' clothes anyway, and he is not at all picky. I hope it lasts a little longer!

I bet you'd be cute in 3" heels! Do you have comfy shoes for excursions if you're going on them?
I am worried about my Brian and packing a little too. Last night we were looking through dressier clothes and he was like, should I bring my black shoes and belt too? And I was like OMG how many pairs of shoes are you planning to bring? He is going to end up with the biggest suitcase. XD
