May 9, 2012: 5 Night Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

Ugh! Why haven't I been keeping up with this thread? If I had been keeping up, I would have seen, I was supposed to lose 20 pounds not gain it. :headache: Oh well, since I'm in so deep might as well enjoy the buffets when we get to cruising. Just one request, no pics of me please. :scared1: Can't wait till :beach:. Bagging up my FE gifts tomorrow, now I just need to get my actual FE holder.

I feel bad for the poor cruiser's that didn't make it to KW and CC!!!!

I don't mind about not having Navigator's... I feel bad for them!

What do you mean. Since it will be one of the last few Magic cruises to visit both? I personally wouldn't mind having a navigator.

Current cruise missed Key West yesterday due to the lousy weather we have been having here in FL. They tried to make CC today (to at least make it a double dip cruise), but missed that as well. Nassau tomorrow is an adjusted schedule. Hopefully they won't have any problems with CC on Tuesday.

As for Navigator's, if anyone from the April 20th cruise posts them, the activities will be wacky for sure! DCL most likely scheduled additional activities for them with the missed port. Tomorrow may be a bit off as well, since it sounds like their time in Nassau is being adjusted. At least the at sea and CC days should be the same, and things such as DOTD and shows hopefully won't change.

Wonder how the seas were as far as waves and rocking?

I did not now poor people. Hopefully smooth sailing the rest of the trip.

I had not heard about the poor weather. Those poor people on the ship! I would hate to miss a port or have rough seas. The weather better improve in the next two weeks!

That's really unfortunate. :( I do hope they have smoother sailing from now on. Keeping fingers crossed for good weather on our cruise!!

What days were they supposed to be gone?
I thought it was just like ours, Wed-Mon?

No, they are a Friday-Wednesday cruise. The one following it is also a 5-night cruise, then on April 30th, it's a 4-night cruise. The next two are 5-nights, then a 4-night, with a 5-night before the Magic heads up to New York. We still have a shot at the April 25th sailing with Navigators being posted. :goodvibes

I feel sorry for those folks as well, but heck...being on the Magic no matter where it goes still beats not being on her!

Happy Monday everyone!

Well, I'm a bit miffed today. Our postal service on Saturday's has been hit or miss as of late. This is now the third Saturday in the past two months they have not delivered mail. :furious: The last of my FE goodies were supposed to be in today's mail, which means my FEs are still not finished (cannot tie up the bags yet until those arrive).

Ok, I'm off to start putting clothes together for packing. That will keep my occupied!

Have a great weekend everyone!
That sucks about your mail

I got out the suitcase and started packing dh's clothes this weekend. I am trying to get a lot done without getting TOO carried away. We still have to LIVE for the next two weeks :lmao:

My youngest daughter and I are huge Star Wars fans. She has 3 or 4 light sabers and lots of SW Legos. :thumbsup2

Love the text at the bottom! Since it doesn't take up autograph space (since it's in an area that's dark), I would leave it. Do you have specific characters you plan on having sign it? The sky and sand patch on the bottom right leave good places for sigs.

So glad you were able to find one in that batch to use! :thumbsup2
I think this looks great!
Hi everybody!!!
Just to tell you that it's only SIX days to start my trip!!! On Friday I take off to Naples two days and later 9 days to WDW!!!! until our Dream Cruise I'm looking forward to meeting you!!!
I'm soooo excited!!!!

Congrats to everyone who is leaving home soon! We leave for FL in exactly two weeks. I am so excited but still nervous about forgetting something.

For those of you who are veteran cruisers, how important is the over the door shoe holder thing? I can't seem to find one that's transparent and I want DS to be able to see his own stuff (sunglasses/shoes) if we do use one. I am thinking about skipping it at this point.

I really have to start seriously packing, I think. Other than the shoe holder and possibly a second swimming suit for myself (silly maternity stuff), I think we're all set!

I'm really just starting my real packing list. I have the big Excel sheet and my own little things here and there but need to make a run to the Dollar Tree (for toys and travel accessories) and to JoAnns b/c I think I'm going to do some iron on shirts for pirate night. That one 4Shared link has REALLY good print outs. I did my magnets from there and they printed out REALLY well. I'm going to try to print on an iron on transfer sheet and see what happens.

I can't do to much either b/c the kids still don't know! Maybe I'll do the Dollar Tree at PC, there is one 8 miles from our hotel and that way we don't have to lug it all down there.

I have been on 9 cruises, never used one. I can see where they may be convienient, but not necessary.

Leaving here on Thursday!! Driving to PA. First stop at DS19 to watch his last spring soccer game. Then back to Penn St for DD21 graduation. From there it will be down to FL for the cruise. :cool1:

What??? You mean life has to carry on outside of the cruise??? :rotfl: I hear ya! I so want to pack, but half of the clothes I will be packing I need to wear in the next couple of weeks. ;)

I have to be honest...I brought an over the door shoe hangar for one cruise, and never used it. This coming from someone who has not only cruised often, but has cruised on other lines with not nearly as much bathroom space as on DCL. Granted, they are handy and do make things easier, but I don't consider them a must-have. If you cannot find a clear one, I wouldn't sweat it. (I believe I have seen clear ones at Walmart in the past.)

That is so me! We live 2 1/2 hours from the port, and I still put off all shopping until we are in the port vicinity! Last minute Lucy here!

I almost forgot my magnets, OMG. I just sent them to get printed, we will see how they turn out. XD

Thanks for the shoe-holder advice. If I happen to have time to run to WalMart I will look, but it's going to the bottom of the list! I have some prescriptions to call in/pick up but I have to keep reminding myself that even though in my head today is the 'deadline' for having things sorted I actually do have 2 more weeks. :rolleyes1

I bought mine in the $1 section at Target.
