OMG I just got off the phone with the cruise line and I found out that I've been upgraded from a standard inside (cat 11) to a deluxe oceanview (cat 9) Is this a dream??
Anyone know anything about cabins in the 2000 area how are they?
OH please everyone just jump for joy for me cuz I cannot do that here at work people will just look at me like I'm crazy!!
It is sold out and they must've bumped some people up to better cabins in order to resell the rest of the lower priced ones...
That is so awesome I can't say it enough times my daughter and I will enjoy our first cruise even more now...
Can't wait to see all you Mothers day cruisers!!

Hi,

Great news! Have fun!

Allison

WOW good for you. It is so nice to receive an upgrade on your first cruise. We did too.

See you on the 8th!!!!!

Congrats on your upgrade!

We had two cabins in the 2000's:

2646 and 2648.

These were listed as "Noisy" in the Passpoerter guide. Since you are close to the engine room.

We had absolutely no problem with the noise (except the morning we landed back in orlando, the wails of the people being dragged off the ship got a bit tedious).

I compare the noise we heard to the sound of your house's furnace or AC kicking on. A bit of background noise but definitely not a problem. Other rooms may vary, but that was our experience.

I will definitely say our rooms were very convenient to the lobby, shutters, stores, etc.

Jim

PS:

the rooms were so not-a-problem we rebooked the same exact rooms for our next cruise.

Jim

Thank you all!! I feel like doing cartwheels (but i am at work) lol
Anyhow, I am in the very front of the ship in the low 2000's....doesn't really matter to me I dont' plan on spending days in the room and sleeping is usually not a problem to me.

You get a great BIG porthole with a tremendous view of the ocean and the split bathroom too!!

Enjoy.

Congrats on your upgrade. Enjoy your vacation. I can hardly wait for it to get here.

Low 2000s are in the front of the ship on the left side as you're going forward (port). I'm pretty sure the engines are in the back, so the only things by you are the anchor chains (someone said they can be noisey when they're going out). I'm guessing you might be below the quiet lounge (piano bar), so there shouldn't be much noise from there.

Congrats on the upgrade!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! We got a huge upgrade for the week before your cruise from 2 Cat 8's to 2 Cat 4's that connect. There are a few people on our cruise who got upgraded as well! It's nice when it happens isnt it?? This is our first cruise EVER where we have gotten a comp upgrade!

Enjoy! What a GREAT Mother's Day Gift!
Heidi

Congrats!!

We, too, just got an upgrade from a cat 11 to a cat 9....our sailing is the 5/13 Wonder....

Enjoy!!

We received an upgrade from a 12 to 9 for our third trip this October (10/2).

On our first trip we were in 2021 forward and we loved it a lot more than last years room in the 6000's mid. Last year's room creaked and was very noisy where 2021 was great.

You do hear a little bit of noise but nothing a great view out that 3' porthole and a split bathroom can't fix!

Here is a link to the deck plan for Deck 2....I think, someone correct me if I am wrong, but the cabins closer to the bow of the ship have slightly smaller but deeper port hole but windows due to the structure of the ship. Again, I thought I read that somewhere but am not entirely sure.

Here in this pic the very large portholes are on Deck 3, the large portholes are on Deck 2 and the double portholes are on deck 1. But on deck 2, midway between the middle lifeboat you can see the size of the portholes changes to a bit smaller size. Still a fantastic view!!! In order to view it better, when you get to the pic scroll down and hit VIEW FULL SIZE. The screen will change and you will have to click on the pic and a small box will open in the lower right corner...click on that and the pic will enlarge for easier viewing.

Congrats on the upgrade...we have stayed on deck 2 several times and love that deck...so convenient to everything...the cat 9 are great!!!

Is May 8th ever going to get here?:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Congrats on your upgrade. - Mike

Is there a ledge under the porthole? If so, can you sit on it while looking out the porthole or is it too narrow?
