So we have a free hotel stay at the Hyatt in Long Beach and since we haven't been to Disney since April 2010 we thought we'd drive over and spend the day at Disney/DCA Sat May 7th.

When I looked at the Disney site go figure they are having some sort of fucntion and will open and close early 7-5 and DCA will stay open later.. At this point we just have to suck it up and make the best of it.

Do you guys think maybe the crowds won't be so bad because it's a short day and all annual passes seem to be blocked that day.. Figure if the crowds aren't terrible then at least thats a good thing also saw that 3 rides will be closed for rebur but it's nothing my kids ride anyway so doesn't matter..

Any thoughts???

On May 7th Disneyland is hosting the premier of Pirates of the Caribbean 4. So it will be a fine day, with lot of the River of America area closed off and massively crowded main street at the end of the day.

Might be a great day to go to DCA. Or at least hop to DCA in the afternoon.

We were there for the Pirates 3 premiere. The morning was normal, but the afternoon was packed. I don't think it will have that much impact as it is a Saturday and it would be crowded regardless. Go early and have a good time.
