May 6 Character Swap Progress Thread

Checking in..

Doing great here, didn't get them all completed yet but getting closer. Working on everything between packing boxes, phone calls, and telling friends and family we are moving in 3 weeks. BUT I do get to spend a lil time in DL on the way to Arizona so Im happy about that, going to need a break.

OT: How did you fair in the crazy weather last night? I was in Avon when the sirens went off! I stayed in the paper aisle at JoAnn's and came out to the pinkish-orange billowing clouds!

We did okay. Of course, it was a night my husband wasn't home until late. The kids were a little antsy, but I was feeling okay about it until a possible tornado was reported west of Brownsburg (we are almost far enough north to be in Brownsburg). Don't think it really was one, as nothing more has been said today.

Of course, after the rain stopped, I just had to go out and get some pictures of those incredible clouds. What was I thinking??

I totally understand! I went to my parents down south..and the damage down north of Shelbyville was visible from the road.. those poor families.. They said it was an F2 that went through.. They have actually closed off the exit/entrance ramps to one of the roads.. and the house that were destroyed.. I just felt for all of them!
You'll have a to post a few pictures.. I of course don't have a camera phone and didn't have my digital..

I'm working on my second character this week!!! I'm excited.. I got another idea on my drive to my parents today and dd wrote it down for me!!!

I've got one element done for 2 of my characters, and bits & pieces done on some of the others! I am so excited about this swap!

I had a very productive weekend. I have 1 element almost finished. My sizzix is loving this swap!!! It hasn't had this much fun for a LONG time!!!

I did one element last night on my 2nd character before the tornado sirens went off again and plan to finish or hope to finish one this afternoon!!

The kids decided to watch a movie so I was able to finish my last 2 elements before lunch! I'm done with both characters now! I'll sit on these for a while in case I think of embellishements to add!

I have two done and all the pieces cut out for the third. I LOVE my new Sizzix. I seriously can't believe I had never found this thing before now.

OT, but this is so exciting (and so addictive) that I had to go buy a new piece of furniture..a cabinet big enough to store all of the scrapbooking stuff I am accumulating! Fortunately, I have a very understanding hubby!

My dh is understanding too and is trying to finish the living room and than will go done and re model the laundry room into a combo scrapbook/laundry room... it'll make life easier since I tend to be in the laundry room all the time anyway! LOL He said that scrapbooking for his is a blessing because I don't panic about his remodeling..

Isn't the sizzix great! I love mine! I have the little sidekick too!

well this week was really hectic and I didnt get the rest of my stuff done but I have a crop on saturday and will have plenty of time to get it completed and mailed off next week!

Progress: Will be out of town this weekend at a music competition, but I still plan to work on this swap next weekend or the week of April 17 after the AK Swap elements are done and mailed. These swap elements will be mailed in plenty of time to arrive before May 6.

I am done and as soon as I can get somewhere to get more bubble envelopes (I keep waiting for Walgreens to have their normal 3/$1.00 sale), it will be off in the mail to you. This was my first "major" swap (only done the easy swaps - 39 cent, Prima flowers, brads/eyelets) and I'm happy with the results. Hope others are, too.

Have a great weekend! My best friend and I are scrapping tomorrow at my house all day - got to get more of last year's stuff done in preperation for our cruise next week!! I'm single digit dancing
