May 6, 2012 - Disney Dream

i've decided they've forgotten about assigning my mother and daughter a room.

when we go to check in they'll have to give her a suite because it will be the only thing left. they'll be livin' it up like a couple of princesses.

and i'll be down in my aft room below the nightclubs vibrating like a jackhammer every time the ship moves.

That is crazy! We will have to have a note on your door telling us which room is your mom's & daughters room so we can make the FE deliveries. You know, at least if they get a suite you can end up enjoying the perks too! You just hang out in THEIR room! Call your friends...we can have a party!:thumbsup2

we're a few doors down.

what kind of an 11 year old do you have?

mine is kate- she's emailing any tweens who are interested in getting to know one another before the trip!

We just booked. We will be on the Dream May 6 to 10.

It will be myself, my husband and my 2 kids. (7 and 11 at that time.)

This is our second cruise. We went on the wonder 5 years ago.

Room 6112

It is just me and the kids going on this trip, DH and teen flying home the morning we board. I do not mind dinning by myself in the least. I actually find it relaxing. However, the idea of meeting someone (talking friend) new sounds fun also. Every now and then people post on the main board how they would be uncomfortable going to Palo or Remy alone and I would hate someone to miss out who wanted to go.

I am doing Remy on night two (Nassau and Pirate night), if any other singles want to join. I think I remember a couple other moms on with just their kids on this sailing. Let me know! Again, if not I am good alone. :thumbsup2

We leave on April 28 at night and are heading to Busch Gardens, seeing family and the beach, then to Orlando. Two weeks till we leave!!!!! The babies are soooooooo excited about the new Disney ship.
:yay:

This is my wife and our first time cruising. Celebrating 10 years of marriage bliss. Plus we are leaving our little ones at home. 1st time we have ever left them but we need the vacay and we decided to cruise. Looking fwd to meeting y'all and see what this cruise thang is all about. Have no expectations...

Hi! I am leaving my two littles at home and going with my girlfriends! :) We actually have reservations that same night at Palo otherwise that would have been fun! If you want to hang out at the District one night, hit us up!

20 days away! Whoo-hoo! :)

Welcome ddupre. Congrats on your 10 years of marriage. We also have a facebook group for this cruise sailing with lots of great tips and information about the cruise. FB group details are on the first post at the bottom I believe.

my husband is wondering if any of the fellas are ditching the family on monday in nassau for the casino?

Sorry I just saw this now. I haven't been reading the Dis thread since joining the facebook group. But with the cruise less then 2 weeks away I was so excited I just had to check. Are you on the facebook group?

My daughter is Anna. She just turned 11 last month. She is in 5th grade and tends to go down in age then up with friends. so I am not sure what club she will want to go to, If she goes down she can be with her sister. Then again getting your own club your sister can't go to is fun too.

She has a little sister and still loves to be imaginative and play while some of her friends feel too old for that now sometimes. She is so exited for the trip and can't wait to get on the boat and ride the aqua duc and mid ship detective agency. She is a total Disney World nut, and likes to brag she has been over 13 times. This will be her 2nd time on a cruise ship.

i'm on the facebook group. denise stanfa. my profile pic is kate making a killer basketball shot.

kate is also in 5th grade. she's into basketball and books. she's currently hunger games obsessed. she can't wait for the detective agency either because it sounds a little like kim possible from epcot and she was FURIOUS when we didn't have time to finish the adventure on our last trip!

as long as you don't mention it out loud, i can tell you that she still has her american girl dolls out (although not when the basketball team is over) and that moe the stuffed monkey has a very active home life. :) 11 is a horrible age for girls.

i'll have kate put a post it on your door in case they want to meet up for a little adventure!

That sounds good.

Yeah, we have a lot of American girl stuff at home, I admit I fuel that habit. Anna is a gymnast, and we will be missing the state finals because it is the same day as the cruise. She isn't too broken up about it. There is always next year.

She's not a hunger games fan, she doesn't do intense type books much, but we did just buy the kingdom keepers that takes place on the ship. We haven't read the others yet, but Anna wants to read it on the boat. I figure if she doesn't read it, I will.

Good Evening Everyone!!!

Can you believe we are LESS THAN 2 weeks away?

I just emailed everyone a final FE List. If you have any questions or concerns about it, please let me know. :)

Just got off the phone with DCL and here's the list of movies that may be shown on our cruise:
Cars 2
The Help
Real Steel
John Carter
War Horse
Chimpanzee
Marvel's The Avengers

I got my VGT assignment. Category 4!! I thought I would be in a 7 but that is a great upgrade.

sweet upgrade, tammy!!
:woohoo:

any tweens in that room? i'm still setting kate up on pre-cruise emails so she "knows" some of the kids at the edge before arrival!
