Cruisers: DH-33 Me-32 and DD-4
May 5th-12th
This is our 8th cruise, but first Western.
The cruise prep started off okay..except for the fact that DH snapped his arm in half one evening fighting (UFC). So after 2 days in the Hospital a little emergency surgery, he is all set with a metal rod and 6 shiny new screws in his arm! Oh joy.
Needless to say a lot of our excursion plans changed ( no stingray city).
May 4th- We drove to Orlando and met some friends at the Ale House (best place in the world). Then on to the Country Inn and Suites.
Nice hotel. Room was very quiet even though we overlooked the pool area. Great beds. Nice breakfast.
May 5th- Went to Ron Jon surf shop at 8am. Then DH dropped DD and myself off at the port at 9:45 am. He then parked car at CI&S and came back on the shuttle. No problems. DD and I checked in and received out Keys to the World. Took our seats and waited for Captain Mickey.
Mickey came and we got our first of many hugs and pics. We board pretty early and went straight to get Palo ressies. Got them no problem. WEnt to Topsiders for lunch. Great!!! Then the madness began. Saw that Pirate night was moved to Tuesday night instead on Wednesday. Went back to Rockin' bar D to change Palo. Got that changed. ( We always do Palo on Pirate night at 6:00 as to not miss any of the shows.) The Palo people told us that Pirate night was Wednesday...so we called Guest Services to confirm. Yes Pirate night was now Tuesday....same night as Twice Charmed. Ugh. We would be staying in Cozumel until 1 am. Not sure why???!! Oh well.
Unpacked....fire drill.....went to show...then dinner. Regular evening nothing unusual. Rachael was our Cruise Director, although very nice I REALLY missed Brent.
