I will welcome 70's!! It seems here in Alabama we go from 40-90 overnight!! It's been in the 80's this past week and we hit 90 one day...whew! I got my airfare! After 5 months of diligently looking, we got it!! It was $707 plus taxes, so not so bad...we will be flying out EARLY Sunday morning (6:45!) wondering if my hotel (Hesperion) will have shuttle that early?? I got 2 rooms at the Hesperion for $87 each! Gotta love Priceline!

Now I can try to finish sewing our Fish Extender, warning, it's all homemade and I don't sew...so lots of uneven edges! HA!!!

Thanks for all the tips..keep 'em coming, I need a transfer to the port, going to try A2B...

Oh wow! You were just at 82!! Anyway I had to scrape the frost off my windshield this morning! Sickening! I'm SO ready for some sun on my face!
Great deal on the hotel. What's it like? I use hotwire when traveling to the USA. I got a room at the Chicago O'hare 'Sofitel' for $60 a night! I also get cheapy rental cars from Hotwire too!
Not bad on your airfare. At least its done, right? Have fun and worry about the debt later. That's my policy! I just purchased our transport from London to Coventry yesterday for our return home. That's it for me...oh no, I still have to book our transport from the port to BCN airport. I tried the transport company you recommended.. (A to B?) but I wasn't quite sure I was booking from BCN to the port or the port to BCN. It just wasnt that clear to me. I emailed them but never got an answer.
Anyway just under a month to go. We're off to Barcelona in 24 days!

I'm mostly looking forward to cruise life and just getting away from home and office. Time with hubby will also be nice!
We're going to Spain again this summer but its just a short flight for us. We have relatives there.

All the tripadvisor posts I read, they say don't bother with a transport company because taxis are so convenient and cheap. But you guys, lmhall (i think), and i all have a large family that would have to take at least 2 taxis, so it's terribly inconvenient. I booked a bus with disney-lover via barcelona-airport-shuttle but then I read a post on tripadvisor that it doesn't seem like they're a completely concrete legit biz (or can't find any reviews on them at the very least). So i'm kind of worried....

I think we'll just be using taxis in BCN. I did try to email that Barcelona airpot shuttle service about a carseat, but never heard back.

On the weather, I'm usually cold if it is at all possible to be cold. My daughter is very hot natured, so I'll probably be in a sweater while she swims. We're in Florida, so its actually quite nice weather-wise, but still not hot yet. When we get back from the cruise, it will be HOT. I would be thrilled with mid-70's. We don't have a beach break planned. That's just not warm enough for us!

Oh I never thought about booking a bus or even some sort of shuttle for a large group of us. There's 6 of us in our party and I think Tara has 7. What about you, Laydee? We're in no rush to head to the airport. We were going to casually walk off at 9. Our flight not until 2.30.
I could just take two taxis but would prob cost a small fortune. A to B transfers had a van for 6 I believe for 36.00 (Euro) but I'm not quite sure how to book it online. Their website isnt very clear.

It's been in the 80's in Charleston this week, but a "cold front" is supposed to come through and drop us to 70 tonight. I was in Florida over the weekend and it was really nice there too. I think by May it will be starting to get really hot in the south, so I think the cooler weather will be nice... Although, being from Florida, we're freezing if the temps drop below 65 I'm hoping it will be warm enough to sit by the pool onboard, though.

I'm so glad you were able to find such great airfare, Tara!

We also pre-pay our tips, and have great service. In fact, I usually end up adding some too

Well we're bringing swimsuits for the boys but Im not sure it will be warm enough to use to use the pools. However; I saw a YouTube video of Villefranche in October and it's very sunny and warm enough to sunbathe topless (in the video!) but who knows.

Fun fun fun! I may risk it and try to get a van shuttle at the airport...but do like having our own van for all of us...Hmmmm...decisions decisions! I bid on a 5 star hotel near airport and got this one, it's kind of a hoity toity one, and I read where there's a Michelin 4 star restaurant in there where one meal is 135 euros...so we will be quite out of our element, but just sleeping there for 6 hours! HA! Hoping our transfer back can take us by a grocery store and we'll bring in some bags of food to munch on!

Anyway just off the phone with DCL. My cruise doc's haven't even been FedEx'ed yet! They said I should have them in plenty of time but if not I shouldn't worry. I can check in online and get luggage tags at the port. Anyone else still waiting for docs?

Definitely don't worry then. The only thing of value in the docs were the luggage tags. Everything is already redundant on the website.

I am still waiting on mine, but I think they went to my TA first, so I am not sure if I am waiting on her or Disney.

I agree, just be sure to check in online more than 3 days in advance of the sail date. That really is easier than doing everything by hand. I know at port canveral the porters always have luggage tags, so I would assume they do in Barcelona, as well.

Hi all,

Just got back from Florida, we spent 2 weeks there over Easter and it was fab. We are all so excited now as we are so close to going on the cruise. While we were in Disney the kids got some new Pins so they are both looking forward to trading them.

I had a quick look at the website, it looks fab, well done. Unfortunately we haven't received our cruise documents yet so can't share any info with you. Hopefully we will get them this week.

I am going to try A2B again, I tried to book online but it said something was wrong with my credit card..it's the one I use all the time and doesn't have any odd numbers...so not sure if it's a fluke on their site or not...

Hey Disney-lover, that was me. I did end up booking it (or paid via paypal at the very least). I'm calling it the mystery shuttle bus now. I got prompt email responses from them. But I read a tripadvisor review that was a little sketchy - it was only one review and they didn't say anything bad; they were just confused whether it was a legit biz or not. Hopefully, everything works out. I got goofy mum to join us as well. I'll PM you with my name so you know what last name to look for when we disembark - in case we don't meet beforehand.
