We are going to be there the first week of May and our HS park reservation is the 4th. I see HS has no more availability that day. I wasn’t even thinking about it being May the 4th when we planned out the week. Thinking I might swap AK to the 4th and HS to the 6th.

I wouldn't switch.

HS is always pretty crowded these days, as it is the smallest park.

But I'd be willing to face slightly larger crowds to be in the "May the Fourth be With You" atmosphere. I'm sure there will be more than the usual cosplayers and Star Wars "geeks" around, making for some great people watching, if nothing else!

Do you think it will make very much difference in the Toy Story section? Or not really? It’s our grandson’s first trip and I know that will be important. Thanks!

No, my point was that HS has a big crowd no matter which day you pick. It won't be that different anywhere in the park.

If you truly have no interest in Star Wars, it might be slightly better another day. I just like the idea of being around all that positive energy on a "special" day for Star Wars fans.

Honestly, you might do better in other areas of the park (like Toy Story) because there will be a higher-than-normal percentage of Star Wars fans doing Star Wars stuff rather than other stuff. I don't think my DH has any intention of doing anything in DHS that day beyond Galaxy's Edge and maybe Star Tours.

We will be at DHS that day as well! May the 4th be with you! We usually get a t-shirt for the 4th and the 5th, May the Sith.

Other than the special merchandise, Disney hasn’t done anything special in years. Just another day in the park.

If you aren't into Star Wars, I would switch. Maybe AK's crowd will be lower that day for you.

Thanks guys! I think I will just leave thing like they are then. Our grandson loves Toy Story and the rest of us are all Star Wars fans so maybe it will work out for the best.

I would expect it to be at capacity, whatever that number is. currently, that wouldn't seem any worse than any other day at this point.
Agree with others, that it could be a great people watching day.
