We would like to thank everyone who sailed on the Fantasy December 15th to December 22nd for the gifts left for us each day. This was the first time that we were included in the gift festivities and appreciate everyone who made our cruise extra special.:thumbsup2:goodvibes:yay:

My wife Andrea and I just got off the Fantasy Christmas Cruise and we booked this one while on board. We are looking forward to joining the FE, I'll get the info to the proper person (just glad not to be running this one, after doing so for my last 2 cruises).. I know I have about 25 pages of posts to read to catch up, but if anyone has questions about the Fantasy I just got off the ship today so happy to answer what I can (We do not have any children so can not comment on Kids / Teen areas).

Question.... Is there a Facebook page for this cruise yet?

Thanks!
Joe

Hi all,
Since I am now caught up on my reading here are some thoughts / comments to get me active with the group...
The Fantasy is absolutely beautiful, she is large but if you are use to navigating around any of the other ships you will be fine.
I had heard there was damage to Castaway from hurricane Sandy, there was no visible damage when I was there on 12/28.:confused3
The food in the main dinning rooms was good.
The food in Palo was excellent
The food in Remy was AMAZING!! So was the service.
Some have asked if Remy is worth it. The short answer is YES, in my opinion. I would not call myself a foodie, but the dinner at Remy was an event. Even my wife who really is not adventurous with eating loved it and said she would do it again. We both put ourselves in the hands of the waiter to just bring us whatever, with a couple stipulations (ie my wife does not like fish)...One of the things we had was a black truffle sandwich, the waiter said that plate alone had $70 worth of truffles.
PALO is significantly larger on the newer ships, and for the Christmas cruise there were NO problems getting reservations for Brunch or dinner (maybe this cruise had a different demographic since it was Christmas time)
Remy dinner reservations were also available,
Remy just started brunch, that sold out instantly. As I understand the Remy brunch is one menu and you get whatever they are serving.
For the Christmas Cruise we had about 30 cabins for the FE, again maybe low since families were packing some Christmas presents possibly.
Adult only shows were great. "The Tube" host for our cruise was Trevor, he was very funny and got everyone going. We did learn that the hypomitist was the largest draw so if they have one on the 5/4 cruise make sure you get there early.
I was a little disappointed that were were under age kids back in the club area's (not in the clubs) after hours, I think that should be totally off limits. Same thing for Pirate night, we like to watch the fireworks away from all the partying so went to the Adult area of the deck, and there were kids running around being kids, which was annoying since it is Adult only. Several disney cast walked by and did not say anything.
Aquaduck wait time was about 15 minutes each time we rode it.

Thanks, Joe, for sharing your observations from your December cruise aboard the Fantasy. I found your comments very helpful.

I was just checking which other ships might be at the ports of St. Thomas & St. Maarten at the same time as the Fantasy for our cruise week.

FWIW, we have St. Maarten all to ourselves, but the Carnival Glory and Freedom of the Seas are being shown to be in port at St. Thomas on the same day as the Fantasy. Plan accordingly!

My husband and I would love to join the fish exchange and recipe exchange. Unfortunately, we're cruise novices. How do we go about signing up? Laura (28) and Ben (26). Thanks!

I have added you to the list but you and hamm1207 will need to add your stateroom # when you can.

- I'm Erin (38), DH is Corey (42), Benjamin (9), Phillip (5)
- Hometown: Edmonton, Alberta
- Stateroom: 7100
- Dinner Seating: Main

We arrive in Orlando the week prior to the cruise and will be staying at the BWV. DH and I have been counting down for a while and I've been spending a lot of time on the boards and just now came across this thread!

We've been to DL and WDW a few times but have never been on a cruise, so we are very excited. We haven't told the boys yet that we are booked, but they know we'd like to go on a DCL. We'll most likely tell them about a month out.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning some tips from you past cruisers!

We are at BWV a couple of days early also. If you ride the disney transport to the port we'll probably see you.

We are staying at the Boardwalk, too. We get in the day before and will most likely take Happy Limo to the port Saturday.
