May 4, 2013 Fantasy 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

Can someone please explain what a Bushwacker is? Is it a drink?:confused3 I am very excited and have perused my Passporter Book several times already regarding excursions. I am glad to see so many adults sans kids since my husband and I are going on our 25th Anniversary and initially felt odd that we were not taking our son. I plan to book my next cruise on the ship-I heard you get a discount. Does anyone know anything about this...Are we able to add people to our room at a later date?:confused3:confused3:confused3

You are able to add people on after the initial booking, however you will have to pay the current rate for whatever the cost would be on your stateroom - I'm not sure what the cut off day is though for final add ons

Welcome!!!!!

Never seen the recipe for a Bushwacker before...yummmmmm

Yikes, I already forgot what cabin type we have a 5 something....:confused3 Better go look.

DreaMer: How did you like Dream? did you find it too big? I have been on alot of ships but I think 130,000 ton is the biggest and I have been on Magic and I liked that size but I know Fantasy is alot bigger.

I loved the Dream, but I admit that I got completely lost sometimes  but once you get lost once or twice it's pretty easy to find your way around.

The only time I actually started feeling the size of the ship was doing the Midship Detective Agency Game - they have interactive pictures on every floor, but usually at opposite ends of the ship :faint: I was so exhausted the next day...but it's also a great way to walk off all of those amazing meals :cool1:

Oh that's great, I have been reading about how crowded everyone says these bigger ships are and I am starting to get a bit nervous.

I think we are still within the time when most kids are still in school so hope we aren't cruising full bit it is what it is right. Ship looks amazing

How long was the wait times for the Aquaduck?

And how was the Mickey Detective Agency Game?

Greetings
My wife Kelly and I (Jon) just got off the Dream on Sunday May 13th where we booked this 7 night cruise. The 4 night cruise on the Dream was my first ever cruise and Kelly's first cruise since she was a kid and went on The Big Red Boat with her family. I think it is safe to say we will be cruising for years to come.

aboard Kelly and Jon!

And how was the Mickey Detective Agency Game?

The wait times weren't usually too bad, obviously during the at sea days the line was longer....usually not more than a 15 minute wait. The views from the ship are worth the wait though, it's so gorgeous!!

The Detective Agency is a great idea for a cruise ship :woohoo: and definitely NOT just for the kids - the pictures are spread all over the ship so it's a workout, especially if you choose to use the stairs (like my sister insists on doing). There can be a line at some of the spots, but watching the person in front of you won't spoil your mystery - it's never the same!

aboard ashbobash26!!

It's nice to have a few seasoned Fantasy cruisers on board -- you can help all of us Fantasy virgins :thumbsup2

A Bushwacker is a milkshake (not:rotfl2: - but it tastes like one :thumbsup2) Yes, it's alcoholic and basically consists of: (got this recipe off of divinerecipes.com)

1/2 ounce rum (Cruzan is the best, but use whatever brand you have)
1/2 ounce vodka (any brand)
1/2 ounce Bailey's Irish Cream (or a similar off-brand name)
1/2 ounce Kahlua (or a coffee flavored off-brand name)
1/2 ounce amaretto liqueur (any brand)
1/2 ounce chococo chocolate-flavored liquer
1/2 ounce Frangelico (I recommend it) (optional)
1/2 ounce creme de coconut (a MUST - "Coco Lopez" is best)
1 cup crushed ice (more or less to make the proper consistency) 3 dashes of grated nutmeg
1 tablespoon whipped cream
1 maraschino cherry

OMG! I would probably need a cart to go back down the mountain!!!! Thanks for the information.

Okay fellow DISers, I thought I was holding my own on these boards....but now I see it isn't so! I am not computer savy....I know how to work e-mail and even that gives me troubles sometimes (believe it or not my husband is a network analysist but I hate to ask for instruction because he gets this smug, I know something you don't know, look). My question is how do I quote other posts so that it is in pink if I want to comment or respond????:confused3:confused3

If you link on the Quote button at the bottom right of the entry you're trying to quote - it will post the entire quote into your new post. However, if you're only trying to quote part of another note - do the same thing - hit the quote button - this will bring you to a new message window with the quoted note at the top. You can then cut out the portion of the note you do not want to repeat (or quote) and leave the rest. Make sure that you leave the tags. The open quote tag will look something like this: ["QUOTE=Ready to go;44999378"] (without the quotation marks around it - had to do this to avoid a box around my example) and then the end quote will look like this [/QUOTE] If you look at your previous post -- you did fine, except you must have deleted the "end quote" [/QUOTE] tag. And, that's why your quote did not appear in a box.

Okay - hopefully this made some sense - I know what to do, but am not very good at explaining the process :lmao:

Welcome!!! I can't wait to get back on the cruise (is it time yet? :hyper:) pixiedust:

I am so ready it is all I can think about that ship was so amazing you need longer then a week to see it all. Can not wait to get back on and see all the things that we missed:thumbsup2

Jealous of my Amercian fellow cruisers having a day off. We had our long weekend last weekend but would like another :)

Hope you are all having a awesome day

Kim

Happy Memorial Day!! After doing a bunch of yard work this weekend, we're now off to spend the afternoon at the in-laws, where there is no wi-fi :scared1: How am I going to stay in touch with my Disboards??? :lmao: Yep, I'm an addict.

Hey, it's starting to look like we have a decent size group and we've got 11 pages! Do we want to get a roll-call added to the first page of this thread? I see that some groups start a facebook group to keep that information private -- I'm fine with whichever method. I've always put my info on the board - but can understand if some folks are not comfortable placing their names, kids' names & ages, and stateroom numbers on a public thread. Thoughts? Is anjiellisvt still around? Maybe she (I'm assuming she -- but if a he - then sorry ) can edit her first post to include a roll-call? If not anjiellisvt, then maybe someone else who posted on the first page that can maintain the list as new people are added? I don't mind compiling a list if everyone wants to PM me with their info., but I'd still need someone to add it to the first page. Okay - I'll stop rambling now. :lmao:
