May 31, 2007 Wonder

Is it May yet?
Im just sitting around surfing and :coffee:.

I feel motivated to design a t-shirt for our cruise so we all know who we are...

Need a cool phrase...
maybe:

May 31, 2007 - June 3rd, 2007
Cruising on the Wonder
Short but Sweet!
(picture here of something)

and on the back

Hakuna Matata!!

What ya think?

I'm totally open for ideas.

The Hakuna Matata Cruise?

The cruise of... ???

DH says the back should say
"I bought my wife a several thousand dollar cruise and all I got was this t-shirt" :lmao:

Hey agraygirl,

Been thinking about the ideas for the T-shirt, but havent come up with anything yet. Thought I would post and bump us back up to see if any other families will be travelling with us.

Jim.

I tried to start a thread for this cruise several months ago, thought I would check again, so glad this one got started and people started responding. DH and myself are bringing my mom and a friend of hers from her church. It is their first cruise our third Disney cruise and 4th cruise overall. I love getting excited and talking about it with fellow dissers. Has anyone started thinking about decorating their door??? What rooms are you staying in??? Glad to be part of the discussion.

welcome! we are in room 7102. We wanted to be near the "secret deck" and the laundry! lol

Here's our door sign from last year... Haven't decided what I wanna do this year. Those stars are on my fridge now. :D

Nice door! It is sooo nice to see a hallway with each family's special touch. I like the message board, too. We had several pages made that had a daily theme and activities that we would swap onto the door whenever we were up to something new. I would post the pic, but I need to learn how first.... :confused3

Oh wow, looking at your pictures now.

DIStag!! That's Brilliant!! We have to do that. Your door signs are great.

"After the hurricane, the ship was damaged a bit, but still brought us home safely" with a picture of the flying dutchman
:rotfl:

We will be in cabin 2054. I started looking at the door decorating thread here when i first booked the cruise about a month ago but havent looked at it since then. This will be our first cruise so just learning about all it. For those of you previous Disney cruisers, do you bring on snacks, soft drinks, water, wine or beer? I have read a few threads on the matter but would like to know what you have done in the past.

Since only five, or are we up to six DIS families have replied to the thread maybe we could have a similar door sign theme.

Thanks, Jim.

Jim--
I like diet coke out of a can, don't care for the fountain stuff, so I bring on a 12 pack of diet coke, I also bring 1 - 6pk of something like Mike's hard lemonade. Our friends bring one bottle of some type of liquor to mix with lemonade or other mixer. Snacks --- I am a "Pooh-sized" woman and I don't bring anything for snacks --- from the minute you wake until the minute you sleep there is food available. Again, some folks bring chocolate - not available without charge on the ship or snacks for the shows. Personally, don't bring them but also its always a personal choice. I like the door idea, and I love knowing a few families before boarding. It's so nice to finally meet "friends" that we have made on the Dis-Boards.

We are staying at the Caribbean Beach for a week after the cruise - and I hope the parks are not too busy.

Is anyone going down to Port Canaveral the night before the cruise if so where are you staying? We like the Radisson. Not much longer, until the cruise`... can't heardly wait.

We are on the 6th floor in the aft of the boat. My mom needs a handicapped room and those are in the back of the boat.

I love the "secret deck" my husband and I like to go out at night and often we are the only ones back there. Hope everyone is well and enjoy a Happy Easter.

So it is okay to bring alcohol onboard? I turned *cough* thirty *cough* on our last cruise in May (May 20th), and I was pregnant with Alanna. So no drinky for me. But I fully intend to do a little makin' up for it this time.

We plan on stoping at the grocery store on the way to bring aboard baby food and formula. I'm assuming they will let us bring on a cooler for it? :confused3

Last year was our first cruise, we had a BLAST. I'm wondering if I want to bring a stroller for the baby, she'll be 7 months. Or I can leave it in the rental car... decisions decisions... life is so rough. ;)

I think the rule is the bottle is supposed to be unopened with alcohol. We have had no trouble bringing things on. A cooler should be fine. I can't recall if I've seen any strollers on board, but if in doubt ask. Hope you have a great time - and it should be a little easier not being preganant.

We are in 5022/5024.I thjink other than a few bottled waters we are not taking anything else on to drink.

agraygirl:my dgt should be in with the 8 year olds(she turns 8 in July in 2nd grade now.Ithink she would be bored in the other group.

Is it May yet?

Hi all,
Another family here on the May 31 cruise. Two boys 7 & 4, my wife, & myself on our first cruise after our first visit to Disney World all for our 10 year anniversary. My wife wanted a cruise for the anniversary, and we thought about going without the kids, but decided this would be a great way for us all to have a great vacation. I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed/nervous thinking about making sure we are totally prepared:eek: . Hope we can continue to learn from this great site.
Mike

So glad that you will be joining us. Not much longer. Yes, its overwhelming but that is half the fun. If you have a chance go buy the passporter book for the disney cruise. It will give you all the information you need plus some. Sorry if I am not supposed to recommend a specific book. Please ask any questions you have and I am sure someone will answer. Welcome A"board"

Welcome Mike! Your going to have the time of your life. :)

Lets all meet up for lunch one day at the goofy pool or on CC or something.

That reminds me. Who's got late seating for dinner? We are wait listed for early seating since the baby will be asleep by 8.

Welcome Mike - where in the central US are you from? We are from central Illinois!

Glad to see some action on this post. We just got back Saturday from our WDW (OKW) and Vero Beach trip. The parks were insane, but the pool at OKW was great and as always we LOVE Vero. Looking forward to the cruise for our next trip and then onto Hilton Head DVC.

Kathy:thumbsup2

we are eating second seating as it is four adults. The picture of your baby is precious. I can certainly understand why you are doing early seating. I would love a chance to say hi to everyone once on board.
