I think we will bring water, but will figure out a way to rig it to our carry on unless DH has a fold up cart I don't know about--We'll be a real site I'm sure.
You can pick up a case of water at CVS in Key West too.
OK, I have to ask you guys since you will be the ones seeing us on the boat. We are first time cruisers and don't want to offend too many people (only a few). Is it OK for DS (4 years old) to wear nice shorts with a button down shirt to dinner? I know it says NO shorts, but he has outgrown all his long pants and I hate to go buy a pair that he will outgrow again before fall. DS would actually like to wear his tuxedo every night that we bought him for formal night. He would surely stand out then!!
Also, DH wants to wear jeans to dinner. He works in an office atmosphere were they get to wear jeans to work everyday and he is complaining that he is on vacation and doesn't want to have to "dress up". Are jeans acceptable attire as long as they aren't full of holes?
Also, is it chilly in the dining rooms enough we should bring light jackets for the kids to put on?
I'm probably the worst one to answer this. I've been know to create a small controversy over clothes (and even had all my posts deleted over at cruise critic for it).
Yes, have your son wear shorts, no problem. Also, your DH can wear jeans without a problem. As a matter of opinion (mine), he can wear shorts too if he wants (I might on a few nights??). I will probably wear jeans most nights as that is what I am most comfortable in. We have Palo on formal night so I will have to wear a nice shirt that night. I might wear it again for semi-formal night, but I will not be bringing a suit or a tux.
I am more of the casual type. I also really don't care what anyone else wears (it wouldn't bother me it people showed up in swimsuits - but that is just me). Life is just way too short to get all worked up like so many other people do over this stuff.
As for the dining rooms, on my first and only cruise on the Wonder, I did not feel they were chilly (and I did wear shorts to the dining room). A lot of people feel that they are cold and it might have only been my cruise that they were not, but I have no plans to bring sweaters or jackets. By the way, I hate the cold weather and and more comfortable in the 80's that any other temp.
