Welcome to all the new cruisers!!! I hope everyone is as excited as me to be within 6 months of our cruise! Yipee. Anyone else traveling with young children? My son will be 3 and my other son - will be arriving in the next 3 weeks - and will be a little over 5 months old. I'm a little nervous about traveling with the baby but I'm sure all will be fine. I'm just a worry wart.

Hi there...my family is set to sail May 3...we're completely new to Disney cruising and fish extenders, so please forgive me if I am missing any steps....It's a total of nine people in three cabins (my family, my parents and my sister's family), but just three kids for the FEs.

My name is Tanuja and the people in my cabin are myself, my husband Tommy and our daughter Kyra, age 7. Stateroom 6036.

My sister's name is Sujata and the people in her cabin are herself, her husband Kevin and their kids Layla-Grace, 3, and Eli, 1. Stateroom 6524.

We are so excited to be joining everyone on the Fantasy- May can't get here soon enough! We are DH James, DS Jordan (15), DD Abigail (7), and me- Jodie! Hubby and I are both retired Air Force living in Florida, and our kids are spoiled rotten!!
This will be our 4th Disney cruise, but I've lost count of the number of times we've been to Disneyworld.

Time is dragging... still 163 days to go. I'm hoping with the Christmas holidays that I will start marking them off on my calendar a little faster. May just can't get here fast enough. My husband and I are both recently retired from the military, so we are used to have 30 days of leave per year. But the job I'm in now only gives a week of vacation per year- and that doesn't start until you've actually been in the job for a year. I NEED MY VACATION!!!


Anyone else feel the same?

Welcome to all of our new cruisers! I can't believe we have less than 5 months until we cruise! I wish I felt more ready, and more paid in full. We have our pre-cruise hotel booked, but that's about it. Still have to figure out rental car/transportation, and excursions. Has anyone found a good deal on rental cars? I think because we are flying in at the tail end of spring break cars are a lot more expensive than we are used to paying out of MCO.

147 days...according to my Disney Cruise Line app! We have Pop Century booked for the week and daughter/son-in-law have their flights booked. DW, DD and I are driving, so we don't need to book a car rental (sorry, can't help you there).
ps. I hear you about getting more 'paid in full'....$500 on the cruise yesterday. Just wish the Canadian $ would go back up over the US $. The exchange is killing us!

We booked with Budget! We're staying at wdw first so we're picking up/dropping off at dtd. For the two one way bookings, its about $100 total. I thought that's pretty good but its my first time to book one way.

What hotel did you book at the the port?? We've been looking at Radisson and Country Inn. We just want a place that's nice and serves breakfast really!!

If I'm calculating it right, I think 5 months from now, it'll be Pirate Night!

We are flying in Thursday, May 1st and staying the first night at Hyatt MCO. Then we will get a rental car on Friday and drive to the port. That night we are staying at Residence Inn. We got hooked on them because we need bigger rooms for a family of 5. This will be our first vacation with only 4 of us, but we decided to stick with Residence Inn because the rooms are so nice, the breakfast is really good and we like the fire pit/pool area to hang out at the night before. We have a pretty big group going. The pool at the Radisson is really nice, but it's been years since we stayed there.
We are used to paying around $100 total for both one way rentals, but this year it's turning out to be around $100 each way.
