what is GTY? I am new to the DCL so I have no clue what that is lol

Let me see if I can explain this. A GTY is basically a guaranteed room, meaning that you aren't assigned a room when you book, but are guaranteed a room in the category that you paid for or better. They usually only offer gty's when a category is almost sold out. They typically assign the rooms about 45 days prior to the cruise, so this is super early!

Was looking at the DREAM when it left port today,everyone was wearing coats and long pants....it was 48 there at 5pm.

I know I have been gone for quite a while (tried to stay off so my daughter wouldn't catch on to her surprise trip) but we are still going!

I know I've missed alot of "comings and goings", so just to re-cap:

I've got some other exciting news, too. My daughter's high school music department is going to Disneyworld April 18 - 21. She will be playing with the orchestra (she plays viola) and I get to chaperone! So, we will visit Mickey in April and then see him on the Dream a short 12 days later! I am sooooo excited!!

I'm not sure what the plan is, but on my last Dream cruise we met at Waves (an open air family bar) on Deck 12. Obviously if it was raining (it better not! lol), we'd need a back up plan.

Congrats on you daughter's trip! I'll be at WDW during that same time too, but visiting my boyfriend (he lives in Orlando)! Can't wait! Hey!.....will we all be in Orlando in April? We are flying in on the 24th to visit our DS. He lives about 1 mile from the Magic Kingdom, he says he sees the fireworks every night from his lanai [patio]. And also we will be going out on a 5 day Magic cruise. WE will be back on the 30th....need some time to rest up so we can all go out on the DREAM THE 3rd of May.

Sorry for the delay but I have just discovered this site via a past DCL cruise passenger.

We are taking the cruise as a family gathering on May 3rd.
