The Storms are staying away from Central Florida. YEAH! Hopefully Castaway Cay will be alright. TS Bret is churning over them now. We could use the rain though here in C FL. Thanks for asking though. HOpe all is well where you are.

So glad you're okay and hope the best for Castaway Cay. We have a son in Florida but he's on the panhandle and says it's really hot!!!!!!!!!. So glad we're travelling in early May since the heat here in Cold old Canada is enough for me this year (88 degrees).

oh wow only 88 degrees can i just come hang out with you until late fall Sally? Its been like 75 for our lows here.....this wk we have highs of 96-99 F with high humidity. Just glad my AC is working !!

I've had my air on since May and it goes full tilt. You're most welcome to come and hang out with us until Fall but you wouldn't like the winter. It's downright nasty. it must be a female thing but I really need the air this year. I have it blasting and poor Johnny and Kerry are wearing sweaters in the house while I'm just comfortable. I would have thought the hormones would be all used up by now. Guess not

Lisa, since you have the name game under control, to keep the conversations going let's discuss our cruise planning. Up first is arriving at the port. How will you get there? Planes, trains, or automobiles, etc. Where are you staying the night before? Home, Hotel, WDW, Etc. Then we can move on to what we will do the morning of May 3rd and so on.

I will go first.... DH, DD, DD and myself will be staying at home the night before and driving to the port about 1 1/2 hours away. We have a little routine that works well for us. We sleep very little the night before because we are so excited that "We are going on the boat tomorrow!"

We are driving down (9-10 hr drive) on May 1st and staying for 2 nights at the country inn and suites. We like to come down a little early and enjoy some time on the beach and some of our fav. restaurants there. its a long drive for me, esp with health issues, but i would rather have the extra time in FL. than stopping halfway down

I think we are going up from Miami FLthe day b4 and going to stay with family in West Malbourne that is Tori's b-day day MAY 2 I am not sure what time we want to get to DCL. WIth all the talk about it I now want to be the last one on the ship LOL
I would love to get the photo's with Mickey b4 getting on the ship...how many times do they go out of photo's and how long?
For the rest of the trip we are just going with what ever looks good to do go for it lol

Sorry! No answers! Our CAA (your AAA) is making all arrangements and until we get our flight plans I don't know when we're arriving , if we are arriving early, or if we are just flying in on time to get onto the cruise. I will let everyone know as soon as I do but can't help you until the plans are made by CAA which probably won't be until after Christmas. ( I believe our agent is waiting to see which carrier gives the best non stop deal and the deals are not out yet)
P.S. We plan to use the Disney Express to get from place to place.

Sally thanks for keeping us up to date. We want you to get the best deal possible on air. That can be expensive. Christmas in July is Sunday.....does that count? I wish it was Christmas already too!. Then we could have a 2012 party!

Good luck with all your running around with the kids. I'm so glad I'm finished with that but they will appreciate it some day (probably a long ways away).
No it's not quite May yet but we're getting there and that's the best part. I'm always a bit depressed when departure day comes because I know it will soon be over -- and then what???---I'll just have to start the planning for the next trip or go crazy doing housework. Have fun with the kids! I spent 2 hours yesterday downloading Disney cruise magnet labels and then trying to get the names on them. --- UNSUCCESSFUL!!!!!!!!!! I need a computer geek big time!!!!!

 

[First Cruise Ever]

Hello everyone! I have never been on a cruise before. We booked this Disney cruise at the beginning of June. At the time of the cruise, my daughter will be just over 3-and-a-half-years-old and my son will be almost 15-months-old.

I actually found disboards.com because of something I saw on Etsy. I was searching for pirate Mickey stuff when I came across a "fish extender." I looked at this thing and I was like, "What the heck is this thing?" I did a search on "fish extender" and found this website amongst other pages explaining the whole fish extender and door decorating thing. Well, I am getting very excited about this and I would love to participate in the fish extender activity for our May 3, 2012 cruise! (By the way, how many people are participating so far? I assume that the number of participants will go much higher the closer the cruise gets.)

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know some of you and meeting you in about 9 months!
