I would like nothing better than to join you, your Dmom and DS on your 5-3-03 cruise. But, our DD Angelina is having such a hard time in 7th grade this year, we can't afford to take her out of school for a whole week. Because of all the snow this past winter, her school year will not end until around June 20th. I was going to ask you, do you have plans to go on the next DVC Members Cruise if they have one in 2004? We would really love to be able to go on that cruise. If we do, we would have to pay cash, since we used all of 2003 and most of 2004 points for this year's cruise, I just had to go and have that room with a verandah. If we get to go on the next DVC Members Cruise, we would probably get a cat. 9 or 10 room, Verandah Man will have to be content and verandahless, but not, shrimpless, LOL!!!

Hi Andy - I just keep forgetting that Indiana ends in May and starts up in August and most other real world goes til the end of June and starts up after Labor Day.

We will definitely cruise together but AFTER we have our rock shrimp!!!! I can hear the sizzling now!!

Looks like we'll be joining the May 3 sailing as well!

We had originally planned and booked the November 29, 2003 - Eastern Magic but just couldn't wait that long! Just moved our reservation up to May 3 today!

I'll be celebrating my graduation from the University of South Florida and can't wait to get onboard the Magic for our third cruise!!!

Hey ThreeCircles -- I remember you as a friendly voice during a particularly bruising debate thread. Glad we'll be on the same cruise!

Don't want to rub it in, but we did the documents happy dance up here in the Great White North a few days ago. Hope all of yours arrive soon.

Sounds like it's a good thing Rae and Verandah Man *aren't* on the same cruise, or the rest of us will be shrimpless for the welcome buffet. (We missed the buffet our first cruise, so I for one intend to make up for it this go round )

Rae519, thanks for all of the effort on the list (I have the sneaking suspicion we're going to have a fairly spacious ship. But what might be lacking in quantity of DIS'ers I bet we can make up for in quality of fun!!)

I'm willing to follow the experienced leads on a DIS meet.

Hello Matthew!!!

Long time no hear from. I am thinking that Indiana must be farther away from civilization than .....well, it definitely is feeling like it's OUT THERE!! You just never know....

So how is everything coming along with your plans, etc? I am looking forward to our tea and brunch very much. Is there anything that I (we) can do for you from our end?

The Magic was at St. Thomas today and I really felt "homesick"!! I never thought I'd like cruising as much as I do, but when I sit on the verandah with a good book and can relax - well, it's worth all the time inbetween!!

Michael is enjoying his piano lessons (thanks to Fidelio at "Dueling Pianos"!!) and starts his riding lessons when we get back from the cruise. I think it's best that he receives professional instruction before he develops any bad habits that will need correction later.

Not much else is happening - our warm weather is changing now and we are due some snow on Saturday. But at least it's getting closer to May!!

Ended up with a few nasty PM's from one particular poster and thought "my time isn't worth this and neither is my opinion!!!"

See I told you Indiana is beyond the civilized world (yes, darling verandah man, you are sooooo right - "shrimp pony express" - ahahahahahah!) Yup, Andy and I would definitely put a big hurt on the shrimp supply!!! Considering I don't care much for dessert, I think I need a vice or maybe two!!! I also go after the risotto!!!!

Yes, we may not have a full ship but we will set it rocking!!


Remember if anyone decides that they would like to have anyone else as "dining mates" for the nightly rotation dinner then all it takes is for both parties to agree, then provide DCL with the name and reservation numbers and it will be accomplished! It is easier if both have the same dining (main or late) but main can always go to late, but visa versa is nearly impossible!
Still it's nice to know your dining partners and very easy to do.

Also, brunch and tea is nice if there is a group of people or individuals who choose to do it together. Just make sure you get to Palo first and make those reservations!

Probably all old news to you cruisers, but if I can do/tell/share anything with you - let me know!!!

I am starting to get my cruise gear together! YEAH!!!
Now if only the documents would show up!

First let me say hello Rae - I finally made it!

I will be traveling with my sister and her three kids on the May 3rd Eastern cruise.

This is the first cruise for the kids Danielle 17, Matthew 15 and Carolyn 13, second for my sister Jeanne 47 and 5th for me Bonnie 39. We are scheduled for late seating.

I was lucky enough to win a cruise for 4 from a radio station here in Boston MA so I only had to pay for one person to travel. Originally DCL wanted to charge me $4400 to upgrade from cat. 11 to cat. 4. Instead I booked a single supplemental room for $1400.

I read elsewhere on the forum that people had transferred their trip directly from DCL to DU. Do you think that is still an option this close to travel? Perhaps I could get some money back?

Everyone is so excited about the trip and my sister calls daily with the countdown
