May 29th on the Wonder

Oh! Well, that will work! DS loves girls. Don't worry though. We're raising a gentleman! ;)

Is this your first cruise?

:earseek: OOPS, on my last post I accidentally typed a 7 instead of a 9, I was cooking at the same time. We have 5 people all together me, hubby, 14yr. daughter, 9yr. old daughter and 14mos. old daughter. Are you guys first time cruisers also? :earboy2:

Yup! This will be our first cruise and trip to WDW. We're doing the 3Land/4Sea package. I have enough guide books to fill a small library and I think I'm on the edge of being prepared. Now I'm just anxiously awaiting our travel docs!

You all are going to have a fabulous time. We have been to Disney 12 times in the last 3.5 years. We just went March 30-April 3. Sometimes we just go for weekends and stay at the resorts and just swim or go to the waterparks. Our last visit we did go to Magic Kingdom. Are you familiar with www.allearsnet.com, they have any info you would like to know about Disney including cruise info., menus, prices and photos of just about everything. We only live about 5 hours away so we can go often. :flower:

Yeah, allearsnet is my second favorite website these days! I keep checking out all the menus! LOL!

DH and I have both been to DisneyLand but that was more than 20 years ago. We figured that age 7 was about the perfect age for DS's first trip so here we are! Actually, DS turns 7 the day we embark. You can imagine how excited he is! :goodvibes

:cheer2: That is so cool! I am sure you got the stateroom celebrations. Where are you guys thinking about eating while in the world? We may have eaten there. That is one of the highlights is where to eat. We just did Chef Mickey's for the first time with my cousin's children, her daughter who is seven loved it, but my 14 yr old thought it was great also. The adults enjoyed the food and the characters. :earboy2:

Well, we're staying at AKL so it only made sense to eat at Boma so we're doing a breakfast and a dinner there. We're doing Donald's Breakfastosaurus, lunch at Crystal Palace and dinner at Akershus. DH is Norwegian so it seemed appropriate though I hear they are changing their menu a bit.

Beyond that, we'll pick things up as we go. Once we board the Good Ship Wonder, I won't have to think so much!!

Boma is fabulous!!!!! I hate to say we haven't eaten at any of the others but any of the character meals are usually fun! They do change menus often. We adored Tony's in Magic Kingdom(Italian) but they have changed the menu this year and we were not interested. Le Cellier in Canada is fabulous also. The counter service area in Norway has some wonderful looking pastries and sandwiches. We haven't been to the sit down restaurant though. The 50's primetime cafe in MGM is great, home style food. If you are in Magic Kingdom and just want counter service, Columbia Harbour House was great. We just ate there in March, they have a tuna sandwich that is yummy and a salad with fresh pineapple, walnuts, grilled chicken and blue cheese with a vinagrette dressing. Was refreshing when it is warm, not a greasy burger and fries.I know I am going to gain about 10 lbs. while on this cruise the food looks unbelievable!!

Yeah, well, I can add the 10 lbs to the 40 I already have to lose, right? Eating well on a cruise seems to be part of the allure of cruising. I've heard that three times around deck 4 is a mile...I'm going to try to do at least 9 times a day!! :rotfl2:

Are you doing any excusions in Nassau?

On Nassau we're doing the Historic Harbor tour. I'm pretty sure we'll be done with that by noon or one so we'll have plenty of time to roam around afterwards.

no we have been to Nassau before, the whole reason for our cruise is to be on the Disney Boat!!! Basically to do everything that they offer. We thought on our next cruise we might try to go somewhere we haven't been since we will have already had the "Disney Experience" on this cruise. I will have to try that walking around the deck thing, NOT!!!

Yeah, the thought of actually excercising on vacation gives me a headache!

DH wants to snorkle on Castaway but that holds no allure for me. We might rent bicycles though!

We are sending the 14 yr. old on the teen excursion while on Castaway, she gets to snorkel, bike, etc. We are just going to take it easy, we will have our little one, so haven't planned too much

As I think about it, I think the day I'm most looking forward to is the day at sea. I hope we can get a Palo res for brunch. Or maybe tea...do they serve tea on the 4 day cruise? I can never remember or some say yes and some say no. :confused3

Me and my DD 9 will be on the same cruise. We will have to have a dis meet so the girls can meet. Taylor really wants to meet kids her age to hang out with on the cruise.

Hum the tune of "It's a Small World After All" with me now...... We also live in Warner Robins! Our DD 9 goes to Perdue Elem. What school does yours attend? We will have to get our girls together on the boat.
