Rocknty, are you planning to wait until boarding to make your Palo reservations? My mother and stepdad are in a cat 3. I called Debbie in an attempt to make their Palo reservations but she's out of the office until the 19th.

They are waitlisted for the 4 midship cat 3s. Sounds like 8534 will definitely be taken.

Yes, we have one of those mid-ships CAT3 cabins. I booked through Deb at DU and it was miraculously available. My wife Jennifer is thrilled to have a tub.

We will be happy to host a meet and greet at some point during the week if DIS people want to see the suite.

In terms of planning for the week. I am wondering whats up with the Pirates night. Is that happening for us or do we get some other kind of party. Read somewhere on here that there is a special event for us West Coasties. I need to get costumes together for us and while I could dress like a pirate any time and enjoy it I probably won't bring the outfits unless we have a deck party.

My DS5 Zachary is bugging me to mention that he is really interested in meeting some other kids to play with. He spends his afternoons with his cousin Sasha so girls are just fine with him. His favorite things to play with this week are plastic animals (Lion King in particular), his new Incredibles figurines and Power Ranger's action figures. He will have a limited selection with him to share.

Looking forward to meeting some of you on the ship. Keep those post coming. Its fun to read them and think about the adventure we are going to have together.

Rocknty - Sounds like Zachary will get along with my DD Katie (5). She loves Power Rangers, Spiderman, Gargoyles and Digimon. She also loves Barbies and princesses.

I came home last night and she showed me a picture she made for her new friends on the ship. She taped pieces of candy to it. Very cute.

Party in Rock's room! YEA! LOL I need that after getting the "job reassignment" meeting today AND coming home to my upstairs bathroom toilet overflowing all over the floor, and out the door, and on and on!

Rock...tell Zach that Emily will LOVE playing w/him too...she's an athletic little girl and plays well w/the boys (has an older brother so HAS to play w/the boys).

Mom...do you want me to pack one of the smal softside coolers? We can talk next week!

From Sam, who is also 5 and is THRILLED to have another boy onboard. There's another Sammy as well, so the boys can become the next Three Amigos! Or maybe they're all be Power Rangers, that's Sam's thing o' moment (he likes the blue guy the best).

If you're hosting a meet & greet in the suite, we'd love to come and see it...and would love to contribute something to the gathering? Just let me know what!

Rock - we would also love to attend a Meet-n-Greet. Our DD Kelly (who turns 5 a week from this Saturday) loves boys and one of her best friends is a 5 year old boy. She absolutely loves this stretchy red lizard that she got in a goodie bag from a boys birthday party!

How many of us will there be at Scoops at 3:00 PM on the 28th?? Will we be wearing our lime green Mickey heads?

We are really looking forward to meeting everyone!!! I'm also looking forward to trying the Lattes in the Coffee place onboard!

I am planning on being at the get together at Scoops. It will probably me (Jodi), Madison (DD 5), DH, my dad and stepmom. This should be a good group. We are really looking forward to meeting everyone. If it only would get here faster. We head down to Anaheim 6 weeks from today...YEA !!!!

We would be happy to shake up a few cocktails 'en-suite' during second day on the ship. More on that plan later.

Zachary says hi to Sam and Sammy. He wants to be the red Power Ranger.

He says a warm hello to Katie and Emily. He is excited to hear other kids will be on the ship. I told him there could be a few.

We'll be at Scoops. It will be me, Mattie(7), Sammy(4) and probably DH.

Sammy says he wants to be the blue Power Ranger too. He loves them. He's seen it once at home and once at a restaurant while he was eating lunch. It's amazing how quickly kids can become enamored with these characters. Now he wants any Power Ranger thing he sees.

Here's a thought:

Since some of us will be at DL BEFORE the cruise, should we have a small "howdy" meet? I've seen a couple of folks mention they were hitting the park day or two before the cruise (I know, some folks are doing park AFTER so this wouldn't work for you guys). I think Friday in the park will be BUSY as folks will be arriving for the holiday weekend...so might be a good afternoon to get drinks poolside (before we hit the crowded pools on board). Grand Californian has a nice poolside cafe (open to anyone) that maybe we could all gather in....or we can swim where we are staying at CCI (pool is in middle of complex and is small, warm and nice for families).

Ahoy everyone!
We will be first time cruisers on May 28... never been on any cruise whatsoever therefore we are all VERY excited to be going on the Disney Magic. Although... I get really sea sick just looking at moving water, even from land... I even get deathly ill on the Mark Twain at Disneyland, so I don't know what I was thinking when I booked this cruise except that I knew it was the FIRST time the Magic would be on the West Coast so I had to do it.

We seem to always travel in a herd so there are 10 of us on this trip.
We have 2 kids, a girl 12 and a boy 15 I am wondering if there are other families on this trip with teens and tweens out there that would be interested in forming an email friendship with my niece and nephew prior to the cruise so they will have someone to pal around with and not feel so "lost" or "bored".
