OK, I think I got everything? Please let me know if I got anything wrong, you want me to add some info or if you want me to remove anything! :teeth:

I'll keep adding onto our list as Tiggery's thread grows!

Bumping up the updated list. :goodvibes

Welcome earstoyou! We have a 10 year old DD also, and Shannon has a 9 year old. We are going to try to introduce them through email before the cruise. Ashlyn did this before our last cruise and it worked out great for her to meet a friend before she got on the cruise. :) Just let us know if you think your DD would be interested in a penpal.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I can't believe school starts on Tues.!!

Hi, everyone! My family is also scheduled to be on the May 27th cruise, and I can hardly wait! :cool1: Here is a list of who is in my family:

Me (Susan)
DH (Brian)
DD (Brianna/age 11)
DS (Brandon/age 8)

RAC--thanks so much for the info on the Radisson! I called and added the code to our reservation so we could get the $149 rate. I'm all about saving money today! I got a code for Budget and saved some money on our car rentals too! You responded on another thread that I've been on, and I told you I'm trying to decide what to do about our cruise.

Here is my dilemma: we rebooked for the May 27th while on our first ever cruise this past June. We (mostly I :teeth: ) fell in love with DCL! I've been counting down each day--already have hotel/car rental/airfare/etc. I booked these things almost as soon as we got home from our cruise. I know---I probably do have issues! I'm a teacher though, and I get a little bored in the summer sometimes!

Anyway, this past week someone posted that Expedia had really cheap disney cruises listed on their site and wondered if it was for real. Well, to make a VERY long story short, they weren't for real, but I was able to go to their site and book a 7 night eastern for only $475 more than our 4 night! :worship: After being on the phone with Expedia for an ENTIRE night, they decided to honor the price I was given on the website. So, now I have a 7 night eastern booked for spring break and a 4 night for May. What do I do? We absolutely LOVED the weather when we cruised at the beginning of June this year, and we also have a cat. 6 for the May cruise. For the spring break cruise, we have a cat. 9 and I'm sortof worried about the water being cold. I just don't know what to do!

So there's our story. I don't know what we'll end up doing but would love to hear from some of you. I keep telling my husband that it's not every day that someone offers to pay $2000 towards your trip (which Expedia did), so it is really overtaking my thoughts these days! However, I REALLY LOVED everything about our June 1st cruise, and I'd love to kindof know some people before we cruise! :goodvibes

We cruised this year on Feb. 10 and the weather was horrible! We got a great deal on the sailing, but said that we would never do it again that time of year. I don't think I had my swim suit on once the entire trip. I love to cruise at the end of May, our other 3 cruises have been at that time. I am not sure how March would be, probably hit or miss I guess. It is a tough call, I know we would be doing a 7 day if they were offerred in May out of Florida. But, we will settle for the Wonder and Universal. We just love being on a Disney cruise 4 or 7 day.

Keep us posted on what you decide! We would love to have you be part of our group. But, understand that it is had to pass up a 7-night at such a great rate!

I work at a school in one of the offices, and I had to report back to work on Aug.2 and the kids start back on Aug. 8. We get out I believe on May 23 or 24.

Hi disneypoor! That is AWESOME about your cruise! I would keep both! :teeth:

Our last cruise was this past January and we froze. Our CC day was cut in half cause the seas were too rocky to dock. Kinda sucked, but we got one fantastic deal! We agreed we'd pay the extra money to cruise at a time that was warmer next time.

We also wanted to do a seven night, but didn't want to go to the Mediterranean.

Oh how I wish I could keep both! My husband is a dairy farmer and farms with his father. His father would have to change his pants if we told him we were going twice! :lmao: He's one of those old time farmers that never goes anywhere, but we love him! ;)

Thank you for the welcome...RAC , I'm sure my 10 year old would love to have a penpal before the cruise. It would be great for her to get to know someone before the cruise. :)

earstoyou- Great!! My email is jrchastain@alltel.net Drop me an email with your daughters name and Ashlyn can email her and introduce herself. Does she know about the cruise already? I know sometimes parents wait and tell the kids later when it gets closer to time.

Shannon- Also, send me an email when you are ready for the girls to start penpaling.

This is great, our list keeps getting bigger and bigger!! :cool1:

Ya, I haven't told my girls yet... I was thinking about surprising them again, but haven't decided when. I'm so worried about my girls being split up this time. (Their ages were together last time.) My oldest will be excited to be away from her little sis, but I think my youngest will miss her. Looks like we have two other girls who will be six, though!

Do all the other kids know yet?

Ashlyn knows already... :goodvibes I had to promise that we would go on another Disney cruise next year to be able for hubby and I to take a anniversary cruise on the Caribbean Princess this year. I mentioned eariler that we went on the Magic in May but she couldn't really swin or anything due to the weather. She had a great time in the clubs and with the friends she made from the boards, but really wanted to swim and enjoy Castaway Cay.

Just let me know when you tell her.. I don't know how long I could hold it in... :teeth: We love DCL around this house, if I didn't spill the beans Jody would.

It's me...Dawn, DH, DD (14) and DS (12)

Thanks for the list...it'll help keep everyone straight in my head!

I thought I would let everyone know that we decided to go for the 7 night eastern on spring break. I hope you all have a fabulous cruise in May! Think of me while you're sipping Bahama Mama's at Castaway Cay--mine will be long gone by then!

Just checking in to see how everyone is. Works been hectic so havent been around much.
Welcome to all the new people cruising with us, that list is building up :thumbsup2
Have fun on the Eastern Disneypoor.

AS far as the water being cold, we sailed spring break '06 and the weather was warm but, it RAINED ... ughh.. We were on a Carnival ship and was like the 3rd ship to ever dock at Grand Turk. Rained all day.The locals said it only rains there like 20 days out of whole year. Next day was supposed to be Carnivals private island and we had to miss it cause the winds were too bad.

We also sailed Christmas 2005. When we got to the private island (this time Royal Carribean) in the Bahamas, the weather was PERFECT and water was very nice. :sunny:

I guess its always just the luck of the draw. You never know what the weather is going to do.

I see my life has been crazy the last few days. I missed that disneypoor had decied with the 7 day. Dont blame her...LOL just wish I was going with her..

I dont know how you guys can hold it in about the cruise :listen: I would go crazy! I told my kids before we even booked. I know Im so bad. THey have watched that cruise DVD over and over!

I can't keep it from my kids either. Of course DD15 and DS19 are a little too old for secrets like that. DS6 is rather oblivious to life. Even thought we talk about it all the time he probably has completely forgottten about it. Disney44, glad to see that you have a DD around the same age as mine.
Disneypoor, I would have chosen the 7-nighter too. I wish Magic was around next summer so that we could have chosen an Eastern cruise. Have a great time!

Thanks for the replies everyone! I hope our eastern is all I'm expecting it to be. I'm more worried about the weather than anything, but I've heard some say the weather at spring break is beautiful and then some have said the water was bit cold. :confused3 I guess I'll just pray for the best! Have a great cruise in May! I'm sure that when May comes, I'll be wishing I was with all of you! :)
