May 27-DAK closing time of 11PM.

AK hasn't had PM EMH for years. Unknown if they will add them with later hours.
Yeah, that is why I was so excited when I read Robo's op that there was pm emh until 1:00. That would be awesome!

Edited to add: I see Robo edited the OP and took the PM EMH line out.

There must be something. 2 posters have posted today about 1am closings.

I was wondering if a late safari FP+ would now have to be booked as one of your choices at 60 days out, or if you will be able to get one day of after using your first three. What do people think?

I have a late night fp for safari when we go in June. I did one for 9:30-10:30 since it's summer and I wanted to wait until it was really dark.

I'm going to see what other Disers say after this starts but I haven't heard good things about the night safari from the media preview night. Apparently the animals are very hard to see. The screens don't really provide much light. Real sunset time was suggested as the best time to go.

lol......Not making light of your troubles but we, May trip-ers, would LOVE to finalize our plans too. Just know that Disney is working at their own SLOW pace. My trip starts in 10 days and still no sign of final plans from Disney.
I have had my safari night time fast passes since the 30-day-out mark. What are you not seeing? I have them for both the 27th and the 30th.

Yes, I've had safari night time fast passes for quite a while as well. But there is so much more that is happening at that time period than just a night time safari.

I'm waiting on......
Jungle Book fastpasses, Jungle Book dining reservations, Jungle Book show times, Star Wars fireworks times after the 28th, Tiffins ADRs, FEA fast passes, Will soarin reopen with old film, etc.

I'm just trying to finalize our times for a few days and can't do it because of the last minute craziness on Disney's part.

We booked the safari FP for 8:15-9:15, we plan on getting there at sunset since so many say that is the best time.

Good luck. We have a Tusker House ressie that night (27th) and I called to tell them it was my friend's birthday. I have never had anybody on the phone at Disney try so hard to say nothing. At first she wouldn't even admit that the evening hours existed, she said "where did you hear that???" then I said I already had fast passes and she said OH! OK then! Like she wasn't going to spill the beans because I already knew about them. She was tap dancing all over the place trying not to talk about that evening (the 27th). It was like secret spy stuff, but it was right there on the disney.go website. She had so obviously been told not to discuss anything. So I am just wondering about soft openings, etc. We might get lucky.

Yeah, good luck on your end as well!! Crazy that the CM was acting like that but often they know way less than we DIS'ers know. I've had one tell me that Caribbean Beach was all one story little huts so there was no need for elevators. Another once told me that a Christmas ticket was good ALL day. Oh the advice of a phone CM ......

We will be there for a little while so I'm sure we will see some of the stuff but it is a better feeling when I know where all my plans are BEFORE I leave for my trip. I hate that I'm going to have to plan my Disney trip WHILE I'm at Disney.

I'm going to wait and see what people say too. I definitely want to do the night safari, just want to see whether I should book it at 60 days out or not! Not sure how 'easy' it will be to get FP+ for sunset day of. Our trip isn't until September, so our 60 day window doesn't open up for a couple months still.

I booked 7:25-8:25 so I could book a Jungle Book FP but then I ended up with an anytime FP for an email I sent to the WDW exec office (that I will use for JB if possible). But then I started thinking I want to do EE right before the 2nd JB show (got showtimes from KtP) so I never changed KS to later because I'm waiting to see if EE opens up for later. If it doesn't then I'll try to move my FP and do KS around 8:30 maybe.

We use DAK as 3/4 day park, never needed a full day, so perhaps it is just us missing something but besides ROL (whenever that opens), what does DAK at Night really offer to make it worth staying until 11pm?

DAK... at NIGHT.

And, for many, especially in the hot summer months, that would be justification enough.

I suppose, we view parks as full day plans from RD to close, so added hours without additional news adds little motivation for us to stay in DAK longer, but get the avoid the heat option or for those who would park hop to DAK. MK and Epcot (with World Showcase) have plenty to see and do over regular park hours that exceed 12 hrs, current DHS and DAK just do not seem to currently provide enough content for us.

Sorry to have bothered you.

I'm a party person (latina here) and I'm so excited for the parties at both areas and live entertainment, I always love the african group and always stay and dance, to my kids delight ;)
AK at night is beautiful, so many picture opportunities. Can't wait, I plan to be there on Friday night and Sunday night (Megacon Saturday getting in the way)

I don't see any PM EMHs, either. I wonder if they were there and got taken down?

It would not surprise me if they aren't going to do any EMH at first as this will be very new, late night and I know I'm now a local and ready to rush in and try out AK at night without waiting for the weekend. Also the care and well being of the animals that are part of the park needs to be considered and it might be rougher to have EMH. Now when pandora comes into the mix that's a whole different ball game.
