The FE is an exchange of gifts between thoses who have signed up. It can be a cabin gift, or something for each person. The fish extender the the thing that hangs next to your door. Cost? is what you want. It is not meant to break the bank. I included a attachment to a thread that shows homemade items. who else is joining the Grand Slam club with this cruise? ( sailing all 4 of Disneys cruise ships?)

We will be at the Beach Club before the cruise and Vero Beach after. We can hardly wait!

We will also be joining the Grand Slam club with this cruise. We would almost make all four ships in a year (Dream in December, Fantasy in May and Wonder in October), but have no current plans to sail on the Magic.

I will be crazy busy working on FE gifts this week! I have to get them done so I can decide to mail or pack an extra suitcase.

I'm so jealous of you! I haven't even decided what I want to do for my FEs. I have SO many ideas, but I just don't know what to do.

Hello Memorial Day Cruisers! My oldest daughter and myself are planning on running this as our first 5K together ! Anyone else planning on it? Has anyone run it before? Any advice?

We have not run it before, but we plan to this time.

Have any of you who have GTY rooms received assignments? I am just hoping ours are adjacent and would be in heaven if they are connecting!

I have to get going on making a FE, gifts, door magnets...
We have guests in town this weekend and next. So much to do, so little time! Hopefully May 26 will be here before we know it!

Are there and DIS meets planned?

We still have not received ours Hoping for an upgrade but just a room number would be great

I worked on our Fe gifts all weekend and still have alot to do. When I finish with the FE gifts then I can work on packing At least that is my plan

April 1st is the cutoff date... and right now we have 40 cabins total. ( 39 when you include yourself.) so no need to split.

I will send an updated FE then...and then updates too when the gtys start getting their cabin numbers!

The 5 k on CC. I read a trip report/blog about the run awhile back. If I remember there were about 12 people. They give you a map with the course. It went along a bike path to an air strip? I think? Since I just started running I am thinking about it. It would be more walking then running. but it sounded like fun. My DD is going to try and get in shape for the tinker bell 1/2 marathon next January. I just might join her

This year we still have a GTY assignment and, from what other people have posted, it looks like that may not change soon. For those of you who still had a GTY designation before your luggage tags arrived for past cruises, how do they handle that?

The board has been really quiet. Everyone must be packing!

For those of you that are in guarantee status, what categories are you guaranteed?? In 8 cruises, we've never been in guarantee, we've always had a specific room. And, we've never received an upgrade either, not that I ever expect it either.

I just wonder which categories that people are guaranteed for.

We are still GTY as of today We are waiting for a 9c.
This is the first time we have been GTY. We have always chose our room.

We havent had a question for the week for awhile..so

What is the best packing tip you have learned?
I have 2) disposbale pajamas and clothes...if you have any old pjs you are ready to part with, take them along and simply toss them out.. it leaves space in your suitcase.

~ ziploc bags! I packed my sons clothes in them when he was little, he could just grab a bag and know what to wear that day... and the ziploc bags are great to keep FE gifts in!
